I really dont get this site sometimes......One thread where people are up in arms about a guy with a BM because it has an M Sport badge on the back and is not an M3 ....and then this one with a guy trying to save a couple of quid on Bose badges for his non Bose speakers.....lol

As for helping people !! I have treble the thanks you have + another 500 before they changed the site :) Just click" dislike" the post if its going to bother you. :undwech:

im just counting down the mins till this thread gets locked , as yet again its got out of hand how does this keep on happening come on guys cant we all be friends for a change there is too much anger in the world already

I agree with Fran. I am trying to sort out a group buy here for members that want a 'mod'. Its a simple thread with no need to get heated. :icon_thumright:

In the end Paddy i do agree with you in the part where 'should you be putting a bose sticker on your car if you dont have bose' but at the same time... Its up to the owner of the car what they want to put in it.
If someone wants to save £1 on a mod then good for him, likewise if someone spends £100 more on a mod then thats HIS/HER loss, no need to make silly comments on a tank of fuel. not everyone here has money pouring out of their pockets. I appreciate your opinion but I dont think its fair to push it... in the end its just YOUR opinion. :whip: By all means if you want one of these Bose grills then add yourself to the list. :w00t:

On the other hand Paddy does have a couple of valid points... even if he is an old fart :moa:
Can i just ask that we keep it civilised here and no need to childish comments or remarks!
Also Scott_Hol, mate type in proper English... not all of us understand slang :box:

Anyway getting back to the thread! I have asked the seller a couple more questions and am just waiting on his reply :meeting:

Will do mate, not interested in this mod anymore anywa, was under the impression my car did have bose system fitted but evidently not, so paddy did have a point about putting the bose strip in the motor still no need for the way he approached to explain this. . . i appreciate your help

This is almost on par with the debadging thread from the other week..

In order to illuminate these, you would need to earth one of the wires then tap the next into a blue/grey interior lighting wire. There should be one in the door loom as the mirror switch/window switches are illuminated. This way they will brighten/dim along with the interior lighting switch beside the headlights.

Just get a couple of scotchlok connectors and it will take seconds.

Scott, mate! If you want to fit something to your car - do it.. It doesn't matter what anyone else thinks, as long as you're happy.. I think these are a good mod, that lifts the slightly bland interior a little, without looking like something you got from halfords. I think it's a good find mate, and I, for one, am looking forward to seeing what they look like installed...! They remind me a little of the illuminated sills on me mates merc G-Wagon....

Yeh literally if the front speakers say Bose then the system is a Bose system. Otherwise it's a standard sound system

Cheers for putting that up mac. I think I'll be ordering these later today now I know they can be done off the light switch. Not great with DIY so fingers crossed will update once it's fitted :)

So has anyone WITH bose actually got photos of these fitted? Was it a tricky job?

i fitted these last week and must admit they look awesome will post a photo up tomorrow for you. wasnt too much of a job already had my door card of fitting facelift wing mirrors so wasnt too bad. didnt even have to cut any wires ect,

Sorry to resurrect a really old thread... I don't want this mod but I di seem to have an annoying rattle coming from somewhere around my Bose grille... does anyone know hot to take them off so I can see what might be vibrating?

Ah thanks Ash, I assumed I could remove the grille without doing the whole door card.

Well, feck that on a practically brand new car, I'll let Audi do it!

It was never started as the seller is sh*t at replying to emails :(

I know this is quiet an old one but...second on the sh*t at replying to emails, the guy doesn't seem to understand when I ask which button location he can supply for the ejector seat one, Even sent a photo and got no reply. Shame would of looked ace!!

OMG snap! i just got this back after 3 weeks from him regarding the button positions for our cars:

Hello,

Thank you very much for your email!

Pos.1 (left side of the ESP Pushbutton)
Pos.2 (right side of the ESP Pushbutton)

It doesn't make any differend between RHD and LHD

Friendly Regards
Thomas Pucher

So the blank on my car is between the ESP button and the hazard light (which is left of the ESP) so is that Pos.1?
confuses me since LHD cars have the buttons on the other side of the console

Hi All, can anybody tell me if the illuminated Bose speaker grilles can be fitted to cars without ambient lighting ? Mine doesn't have the illuminated interior release handle so I would have to tap into the window switch - can this be done?

Thanks in advance.
