ASN's Pub

Don't buy the SR20's one week before race wars though... they pull a premium...

:lmfao:

If me and my mate go halfs it's like £800-£900 for some rear wheel drive fun.

Did you miss us on Friday lads? lol.

I've had a good weekend....working.... lush.

It all went Pete Tong over the weekend and I ended up in the office.

Booooo...

Know the feeling dude i planned the weekend off ( first in ages ) then the missus gave me a list of DIY jobs ...... ***
How you boys get on at bill's, anyone get the squits from the butty van ;)

We didn't touch the Butty van food in the end, just had a coffee from there. We both put 0ut 270bhp on the rollers :)

happy days ;). is that what you where expecting ?

Also, what mm adapters are you running dude and how do they sit in the arches??

I'm running 20mm on the front and 25mm on the back with ET45 S4 wheels which are 8" wide. There's pics in my progress thread, they sit in the arches spot on.

Yeah we were happy with that figure and both cars drive well on the road. Shows you how much BS the tuning companies give off saying you can get 270bhp just from a stage 1 remap when we're both running stage 2 with downpipes induction kits and FMICs!

Yeah man, 270 bhp FTW!

Good figure from both, was pleased for you both :)

Cheers man, it was a good day out as usual. I'll get my fuel pump fitted and SMIC ripped out and it should feel a bit better again.

That means nothing to me mate. lol
quattro I understand but not the Haldex fuse pulling bit, I dont even know what haldex is.

Haldex is the unit that controls the rear wheels in the quattro system. Because the rolling road is only a FWD road Bill pulls the fuse for the haldex unit putting the car into FWD only.

The S3's 4WD system is different to the A4's etc.

The A4s have permanent 4WD via a diff.

The S3s have electronically controlled 'On Demand' 4WD meaning that 90% of the time, the S3 is front wheel drive, and when needed, the Haldex controller will engage the rear diff.

If you pull the Haldex fuse out, the rear diff never engages, meaning that the car can be run in front wheel drive only.

I just got a bollocking at work Westy because I opened up your roller youtube link, and the laptop had the volume at full blast!

Then, to make matters worse, the laptop had a slow moment and simply would not mute!!

It was going for about 10 seconds until I closed the lid, and had literally the WHOLE office looking at me....

Whoops.

Thanks lads.

Its annoying when that happens.
Happens on my phone when I'm watching links from ASN or facebook.
Never get told off but most of the office coming over to see what the noise is. lol

I sh*t you not though, this was deafeningly loud!!

Ahhh well.

Is it bad that I can't wait to see my missus?

I thought this week without her would be a week of freedom and peace, but if I'm being honest, all I have done is miss her, and it's only got worse as the week has gone on.

Maybe I do actually like her a bit more than I thought.... (which is a plus since we're getting married I guess....)

You still staying with your parents?
It gets worse whne your on your own and the dogs are gone.
Proper empty house, so depressing.

Hell yes mate. If I had my way, I'd live there forever. It's got everything I need and want there - including a massive garage!! lol

Me and the woman have just bought a house, still waiting for the keys. Hoping to get them by the end of this month.

Morning all.
Back at work today :( laptop decided that it didn't want to work either so had a quick Vista BSOD first thing.
Phone line at home was noisy when we got home, couldn't hear anyone at the other end, also ADSL was up and down like a whore's draws.
Just been home to meet the OpenReach Engineer, who has just fixed it and now we are back to a stable 7Mb/s ADSL at home.
Central heating programmer also decided to play up when I turned it back on again, but working again now it has been on again overnight.
Oh well had a very relaxing weeks cruise, Ventura is a lovely ship and Norway is a fantastic country, we will do that one again.
Downside I've put on 4 pounds, so that will need to come off again sharply.
Paul

Good morning folks!

Jo, How did you get on with that tag?

Didn't touch it, the missus thought it was safer to take it back to the sports shop, who am I to argue? lol

Morning Chaps - nearly bought an Ibiza Cupra R at the weekend and then didnt and now me and a mate are looking at 200sx' Neeesaan sr20 lump!

Sounds like you're going from 1/4 miles to drifting! :racer:

A bad weekend for computers it seems.

I was frantically searching the net on Saturday night for streams for the Haye fight. Found loads but they were all pretty poor. Eventually found a "HD" source but then distaster struck......................

"XP Antispyware 2012 has found a virus. Would you like to purchase the full version to remove these threats?" :banghead:

XP Antispyware my a*re!!!!

No internet, none of my AVs working, and no ability to go into safe mode.

I had an hour until the fight started and had my missus in my ear laughing at me sweating and trying to sort the problem.

Managed to get the internet back up and running with about 5 mins to go, but the virus was still there. So although I saved the £20 sky box office fee I probably had hundreds of pounds nicked from my bank account by the virus!

NOD32'd it the day after and all seems fine again. So far.

Thats the new incarnation of a very old virus. I've seen that every year for the last 5 years now.

Best removal tool for that is Malware Bytes Anti Malware. Great bit of software.

Really??!

It has never once failed for me.

I like hunting down viruses manually though, at the customer's expense of course.... lol

Yeah I was surprised too.
Malwarebytes is my go to guy for everything virus related so I didn't even consider that it wouldn't remove this one. It failed miserably though.
Panda is usually next on my list because I've always found it pretty good at removing stuff that others fail on. It also failed.

So I gave NOD the nod, and off it went and cleared up the mess that they others couldn't.

I had to sort out a few registry entries after, but nothing too deep.

I'll bear that in mind dude. I don't see that many virus related issues where I am at the moment, but always handy.

Hey chaps!!

My weekend was spent helping the ex move into her new place in Bedford (i promised i would) and i got a nice reward for helping....twice ;)

Then came home Sunday afternoon to a text from that girl during the week asking if she could come over, so got more action

Did also..... lol.

Good work none the less bud.... what was it like back inside the old stomping ground.... lol.

Ex sex is always weird for me.
