I have been re-searching answer to this question too, basically from my understanding you bits of hardware and bits of software. its an expensive mod

hardware: new front wings, bumper, bonnet and the lights ofcourse (including all the brackets, clips, adapters for b-xenons etc)

software (as per reading helpful NHN's posts) they need coding: ill let him elaborate on this if he sees it.

Mate thats for the facelift conversion! not needed if you want to just fit OEM xenons. look here for the info for Xenons... mine cost me just under £450 all installed.

I'll post up pics on Saturday after GTI with the new tails and pedals in.

Also I'm not sure what black it is, it's metallic, would it say anywhere in any of the books??

I'll be having a shop around for recaros then to try and find a bargain. Would love them in the car with red leather.
And yeah the plans keep popping up and it's a nightmare cus I can't do them all at once xD this site is a very bad influence haha.

Ash did you go through Audi for your Bi-Xens? Was there much needed done to swap them in?

No i bought the bi-xenons from ebay and then got the adaptors from Kufatec. fitted it all myself and also upgraded the bulbs to 8000k.
All in all with the extra 8000k bulbs it cost under £450 and took just under 3 hours to fit, wire and code.
 
How much were the Xenons? thus also how much it was for instal, as I've found this site I think it was in someones thread

Bi-Xenons for £200 each inc VAT, can anyone confirm if they are OEM or aftermarket which might blow the motor?

Picked up my taillights and pedals today off Audi, along with an A4 Allroad 3.0TDI as a courtesy car for my dad, I'm quite impressed with the ride quality and power, although I dislike the Auto box, but it's still no custom A3 XD
 
I got the bi-xenons from eBay for £330 delivered. The adapter was about £50, then the upgraded bulbs were another £40 I think.

Those bi-xenons on the site look Oem and that's half the price of audi dealer prices.
 
So I had a look in the log book today and the paint code is LZ9W, checked it out and turns out it's Ebony Black, not heard of this colour before, would it be an earlier model colour?

Anyway got a LOT of pics of the car today at GTI NI along with a verrrry red sunburn lmfao! Will post up the pics in a while. The car was looking very nice if I do say so myself!

EDIT: Ohhhh not to mention Audi gave me two right tail lights :-/ stupid or what?!!!! And I was looking forward to having them ***!!

I was parked beside you yesterday, lovely car! Very clean but Imo the wheels are a bit too shiny

I've been thinking about doing the grille in red as well but I'm gonna do it in vinyl wrap incase I don't like it then I'll just go with black!
Either the grille or the badges not sure yet!

There was one point I was searching on the net for like a week for different pairs of RS STYLE ALLOY WHEELS but I never came across the one's with the red outline.

Where did you get these from if you don't mind me asking ?

Thanks mate, I'd just got her back from being detailed a few hours before, drove straight to C'wellan from Rathfriland so was a short trip to keep her clean! The were waxed aswell as the car so could be why they were shiny :)

Were you in a grey A4 mate? Both the grey and black A4's were nice I like the wheels on the grey one :)

The event guys had came over to me after I moved the car to fit the new pedals and said they took me out cus they thought I'd left lmao, and said it was tied between Marc's TT the quattro my A3 and another Audi.

Yeah I saw them in your thread, I really like the silver lip, I bought them as reps back in October, but they were RS5 reps, all silver as you can see in a few of the earlier pics, then I had them powder coated in black and the red lip was painted on, so if you were to get it done you'd already have the black just paint the silver bits red.



Just trying to get some pics on photobucket now, need to resize my pics first as 6mb a pic is OTT

I was in the black A4 :D Ye the grey one is my mates, it's very low :p I was gonna lower mine but It would be too head wrecking so I decided not to. Im going to sell it at the end of this year anyway and then get a S3 8p hehe
 
Had a nosey around this at the show, looked very well.

Have you much more planned for it?

Yeah just had a peek in your posts, I arrived late and ended up beside the two of you by pure coincidence lmao!

I noticed that myself, it was nice but too low for my taste, where the arch sits just above the wheel is perfect for me. Yours was looking good too, I like the kit, plus I'm very glad to see neither of you two had silly 'RS4' - 1.9TDI badges xD

I don't know if you would know him or not, but I saw a gorgeous Black blacked out A4 today in Newry from Monaghan, 02-MH-**** plate?? On his way home I'm guessing.

I do man, I actually fitted some aluminium pedals on the day, would have had MY11 tails too if Audi hadn't screwed up my order the muppets!

My OP has most of the mod's I have in mind, weather I get the funds for them is another question, as I wan't a Ur quattro and if I get the car looking how I want I may just forget the performance mod's altogether!

I didn't see anything over here mentioning GTI NI and only found out about it through VAGOC, so I'm quite surprised there were a few of ASN guys at it, although I didn't get talking to any of you on the day :(

I'm just wondering if anyone on here could give me a bit of help, I had the A3 re-mapped back in september and it's been absolutely fine, but if I give it the boot then theres black smoke coming out, not a huge amount but fairly noticeable, I'm thinking of getting a BMC Induction kit OR a Forge FMIC to try and correct this.... would it be best to just try a Green Panel Filter? Or should I go for it with one of the other options?

I'm getting tired of the exhaust being covered in ****e, and bits of the smoke get onto the car too :(
Noticed just after I had her detailed, quick wipe down after a short trip and the MF was a little dirty.

FR&R are offering the BMC for £200, but they state they should only be used for track vehicles????
 
Ye, the both of us had Genuine s line bodykit. None of that RS4, S4 badges here, dont worry :p

Im not sure about that black a4 02-mh means Meath, not monaghan but I dont think I know him.

Seen the photo of the 3 cars together, well done! good job :p
 
Yeah that crap with badges is the thing that wrecks my head most about some Audi's driving about here.

Meath that's the one, I had Monaghan in my head cus family was up from there at the weekend lmao!
 
Did you look into my car by any chance? I covered my trim in red suede. Was looking for some outside opinions :p

Pedals look great man, il have to add that to the list of to-do's. MY11 look great on black A3s. There seems to be quite a few guys from N.I on here now, we could organise a mini meet
 
So I haven't had much progress with the A3 since the summer, theres been a few things done here and there which I'll get written up when I get the last few done for DubShed but for now the A3 has taken a back seat to make way for its great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great grand daddy :jump:

I have wanted one for as long as I can remember and now that I do my life is complete :) also she's green so another WIN!!!!

She is also the 4th ring badged car in the household (theres a total of 4) a sign of fate? Maybe! hahaha

Almost forgot thanks to Boydie for De-wipering the car for me!! Top man he is.

the wiper motor was absolutely ******ed as the nut was what seemed like welded to the tube that feeds out the water, luckily it was removable.
 
Unfortunately not mate :-( I really wanted to cruise up in her but she's away for an engine re build, details to follow.

Ill be doing a few small things to finish off the A3 and I'll be taking her to the show. It would have been something else to have taken both though :-(
 
Hi mate,

a couple of questions regarding your wheels:

- they're 18" right, not 19"?
- you say you were going to get them powder coated but as far as I know, that's not possible with 2 colours. Did you get them, or part of them, sprayed instead of coated?
- what finish are they, (high)gloss or satin/matt? They look gloss whereas the original RS3 ones look satin to me. Is that something you did on purpose or doesn't it come across well in the pictures?

Update on its way!! Finally after much searching got myself a bonnet from an 05-08 along with and S3 bumper she'll be getting face lifted in the next week or so.

Also got rid of the rotors for a nice set of TD1.2's the TD's are 18" as well but look a little smaller due to design but I'm chuffed.

The most recent mods have been a Darkside Developments Hard pipe kit and EGR delete, with a DMF and DSD clutch
