So I just brought these for checking fault codes but also for 0-60 times :D

Have no idea how to set it up properly yet.

Any of you guys using it?

Cheers.

just read about this gonna grab it. Wheres the best place to get the bluetooth adapter?

Hi mate...yeah the app is called "Torque" and you download that from the Android market, then you need to buy a bluetooth obd2 port thing that you plug into the obd2 port :)

It's got load of stuff on there, check the website...just google Torque obd2 :)

Anybody know the weight in KG's of a 52 plate A3 1.8t Quattro as the programme needs this info?

Edit... 1860kg according to autotrader.

I'm off to play :p

I just went off the Autotrader weights.

This is a cool app lol, just been and tested it with the above weight (wrong weight by the sounds of it) and got a 0-60 in 8.5seconds and 184.2hp but if the weight is wrong then that will have a knock on effect I would imagine oh I have a boost leak as well :p

So what is the weight of mine any idea, hold on it'll be on the logbook :)

Edit mine is 1.389kg unladen on the logbook.

Interweb was nearer, logbook the mr's had to find or I would have been chucking things everywhere out the draw looking for it lol.

Maybe I will get a better 0-60 now with the new weight and more bhp lol (even though I know it's 210bhp on R-tech map) just be good to see it all on the app and see how accurate it is. Gonna take it for another go later :)

6.8 i'd be happy with saying that I only have a 007p, pipercross panel filter and the stage one map :)

Looking forward to other peeps opinions on this app.

I bought this app and the bluetooth wotsit a while back but tbh I haven't really done a lot with it being more generic OBDII... I have a liquid gauge and use VAGCOM so find the bluetooth a little laggy in comparison but... for what it is and the cost its actually not too bad and great for code checking and such... think I may have a play now that there seems to be some interest as I reckon its a cheap and easy way to get access to diags on the car without having to lug a laptop about... as a replacement for Liquid and VCDS? not a chance... VCDS, Liquid, Torque in that order... IMO of course...

Will have a faff...

<tuffty/>

I brought it cause it's cheap and finds fault codes but also cause I need a boost gauge and this app has one on as well as being able to monitor 0-60 and stuff.

When I can afford it I will buy a bluetooth screen and mount it in the car somewhere or by a decent stereo that does bluetooth with a screen and then use this app on the screen with lots of gauges on the screen coming from this app :)

I seen a pic of another bloke who uses this app on the torque forum and it looks very good indeed when you have a proper mounted screen.

Be good to see what can be done with it for sure.

ooo, screenshots of this in action?

andriod ftw.. apple can.... anyway... :p

Yea i got this, get a slight delay with the chinese bluetooth adapters. For the money its genious, 1 man programmer does it all by himself but if you pop a query on his forum he will usually get back to you quite quick.
Sensors are limited for the S3 but theres some usefull stuff, on my HTC HD you can set up several custom screens with what you want at the time. Not got the timings to work properly yet but thats only down to me having a few probs with the car at the time. Will get a cpl pics up if people are interested? -actually that will be pretty hard, only camera i gots on my phone lol

I know on the iPhone you can press the power button and the home button at the same time to take a screen shot. Guessing you don't have one of those though ;)

u just press the home button and then the power button quickly n it takes a screenshot and chucks it in the screen capture folder in the gallery.

Thats on my galaxy s2 mind and i know it does it on galaxy s also. Most probably some other androids

Well I tried again last night with the correct weight and the best I could get was 0-60 in 9.1 seconds which isn't right at all, mind you I did have the mr's in the car with me so that won't have helped.

Will try again later on my own, if I don't get in the 6's something not working/set-up right with the programme I'm sure?

I paid £20 and a few pence for mine but got it in 2 days, you will be waiting a while if you order from the states.

where did you get yours if not the states?? anybody know if my r reg has obd2 port?

0-60 in 6.0 seconds last night, no joke. What you reckon guys is this possible with my mods listed in the sig?

did you have any trouble getting your phone and obd dongle paired and working?

Any idea if this is available on the iPhone as the examples mentioned above don't seem to be on the app store?!

Cheers,

If anyone is searching for the application through the App Store then just search for 'Rev', did you buy the same bluetooth module on eBay that the guys above had purchased?

Thank you in advance.

)

Yes the one thenewt. Posted up very quick delivery.
I'm having problems getting my iPhone paired up with it tho.
