I'll be keeping an eye on my car more often when the new ones are fitted. If I spot any kids even looking at them I'll chase them down the road with a huge knife ;)

..only for them to turn around and say... "that's not a knife..." as the little scroats pull out a larger one croc dundee style ;P

two in the chest, one in the head black hawk style for the win...

<tuffty/>

GB all the way, I had audi make me some up with the new style surrounds, looks much better...

Looking cool man, but it's clearly all about the black GB badges! (and custom slogan of course)

Did some trimming tonight to try and get the fog grills back in. I took out a load of plasic with a Stanley knife. The plastic is quite soft and easy to cut with a knife....... A bit like my fingers!

It still looks fine from the front:

And back on the car. I only had time to do one tonight so they're still off the car but this is what it looked like.

Nice work dude! Looks smart, I quite like the unassuming look myself, canne wait to see how it goes on Friday!

Looking good mate thats how mine are, as you say no adverse effects visually..

Dave did your grills clip back in ok? mine feel a bit loose and may need a little cable tie to ensure they dont fall off!

I still think I have a leak in the boost system somewhere but I'm sure we'll find it and sort it on friday. I bet the bumper is off after the first run ;)

Always the way mate. They are a right git to pin down all the leaks.

Lets hope nothing pops of first run this time then ;)

Mine were still tight but i put a bit of silicone in the joints to stop them pinging off on boost, you dont want to lose one of those feckers...there hard to get hold of!

Over the last few days ive noticed my car is a bit hesitant on boost. I get an initial pull then I can feel it pull again as if it's holding back slightly.

It never did this before the FMIC was fitted so I'm sure it's something to do with that. Pressure drop??? Leak???

Any suggestions?

Have you tried spraying every clipped hose join with some water/washing up liquid solution to check for air bubbles?

The problem with silicone is that, even if it's tight, the silicone will move about to suit itself and then joins become slack.

You can crank a J clip right up, and then go for a 10 mile drive, guaranteed it will have some more to go after.

Mine did this to begin with dude Tuffty did something on VAGCOM maybe re set the fuel trims and or realigned the throttle body and it was fine.

Ok, so the bumper is coming off tonight, I'll nip up all the T-clamps then reset fuel trims, and re-align TB.

cheers guys

Ahhhh, are they T Clamps? That may be the issue. They can feel tight when they aren't....

Maybe I'll purchase some hi-torque jubilees from Bill if he has any on Friday?

If you want my honest opinion mate, I would. T clamps have all these issues as you now know.

I used them once, replaced with jubilees and simply wouldn't ever use them again.

Well, this should be the plan. Get Bill to leak test - then you can decide what's what. I think that's the best plan.

Bill's a bit pressed for time on Friday so I dont want to mess him about having to pressure test the cooler and hoses really but I do need it sorted. I can get the bumper off while Tam's motor is on the rollers. We'll see what happens.

OK dude, fair enough.

Bill is a busy man these days (which is nice to see!).
