Hi All!

Well I received some great news this week that Im getting promoted in work.
The downside (or upside, I cant decide yet!) is that Im getting moved to the top of Scotland.
So I've had to ask my girlfriend to move in with me and come to Scotland. The other major downside is that the S3 is just too small for a pushchair and child seat, so now I'm facing the reality now that I will have to sell. Plus I will be getting a company car as well (Astra Diesel! :banghead:)
Im absolutely gutted as I LOVE my S3 and I have wanted one for such a long time.
I just cant realistically keep it as its now no longer practical for my new life style.

So if anybody's interested in a FULLY LOADED S3 or knows someone who is, let me know.
I will be putting up an advert in the For Sale Section soon.

my missus gets 2 baby seats and pushchair in a beetle convertible mate. cant be that bad in the s3

I would chuck the company car, take a car allowance and keep the S3.... I have had pushchair, highchair, baby seat and three adults in mine. Ok it's not an S3 but it's the same size and boot floor design.

Dude, listen to the people!! I get two baby seats, my mrs, her 12yr old and pushchair in my 3 door..
And just cos something's a tight fit don't mean it can't be done!!!!! :lmfao: :sex: :lmfao:

I'll second all of the above! Car seat and pram in a MINI for 9 months:laugh:

Your choice of pram will be a big factor if you plan to use the boot for shopping etc. Not to mention the back strain putting the seat in/out.

For reference a maxicosi Group 0 seat passes easily enough past the passenger seat in the S3. Even better if the child is in a group 1 or more seat as that stays in the car.

dont get rid of it so soon, you'll loose a bundle.... i get my 3 kids and mrs in my car... its a tight squeeze, but can be done!!
congrats on the promotion mate!

Remember, it's not what you drive it's how you drive it. See letters section of latest EVO magazine!

Sounds to me like the ideal opportunity to ditch the girl and the kids and move somewhere they will never find you !! Live happily ever after with the true love of your life !!
That said...........

My neighbor , Mr Muhammad Ibn Abdullah gets 7 wives and 32 kids in his S3 not to mention a dozen prayer mats and a sacred cow for emergency's

Do you have to have a Company car? Most progressive companies offer cash in lieu or allow you to do a personal lease.

I hate Vauxhalls big time (last one I drove caught fire!!).

Talk to the Finance or HR Dept.

Because Im 6ft 3", I have the drivers seat right the way back so I have to put the child seat behind the Passenger Seat and the little one screams if her feet touch the seat in front so my missus has to sit with the seat all the way forward!
The pushchair fits in the boot, with a struggle!, and leaves no room for anything else.
I have to use the company car for work, nothing can be done about that.

I was looking forward to using the S3 on the weekends. Turbo & Quattro & Highland Roads =

+1.

I used to fit a buggy, a baby, and a mistress in a Peugeot 206.

& the wife in the engine bay lol

And just cos something's a tight fit don't mean it can't be done!!!!! :lmfao: :sex: :lmfao:

Swargefa usually helps there lmfao

LMFAO thats cracked me up lmfao brilliant.

Fella, I can fit my outlaws camper, kid, pushchair, my tools, missus, goldfish in bowl, the house, new van, the village, tower of london, buckingham palace, cambridge & oxford uni's, the north sea, greenland, infact whole of europe in my Fiat 126 boot, so you should easily be able to fit them in.

I've had no problems with our little girl (now 18 months) in an A3 and latterly S3 Sportback. I've not even needed a roofbox when going on holiday yet, having expected I might.

Because Im 6ft 3", I have the drivers seat right the way back

I'm 6'2" and have my seat like half-way forward... I don't like having to stretch for the wheel, and guess I have short arms?

I've read about how happy you were to finally get yourself that S3, so I'd say hold on to it for a bit and see how it works out. At least try it out before you have to give it up.
