I'm not much of a fan of pills either and I holded off for as long as possile but I was turning into a misserable sod.

Smudge - A couple of glasses of port before bed - should do the trick.

Afternoon all - had a bit of a busy morning (nice change as it makes the day go fast) had an issue with our own server (mail scanner had corrupted virus defs) and a client had their app down (our SQL based one).

All back up and running now - so I'm in the Pub now :thumbsup: (well the ASN pub that is)

That's not my frame, mine is a black base colour with yellow and blue decals on it. Looks smart but i think that one is gorgeous

White tyres are AWESOME! Completely pointless but i love em :laugh:

1st i need to get some new front forks, my bike comes with Rockshox Judy TT's - officially the worst forks ever made

Wanna get some 200mm travel forks like these

200mm travel! oohhhhhhhhh. I currently have some bab suntour forks, that are 120mm travel. I want some adjustable travel forks for the 456 bike, but we shall see.

As for the tyres! HA. I love that you have an irrational love for white tyres. Black all the way for me.

Oh, and get a pic up of your bike smudge!

I'll get one when i'm lunch for you matey, sitting pretty on my balcony atm. Needs some TLC but it's solid :)

White tyres are completely stupid, but they look awesome :laugh:

200mm is more than i'll ever need, but it is nice to know that my forks can handle the jumps i'll be making when i get my confidence back again :laugh: last jump i did was when i was 15 in Portgual. Round a banked turning that just had a 30ft drop at the end of it....

Down i went :lmfao: broke both collarbones, left arm, 6 fingers, 4 cracked ribs and a fractured ankle....fun times

Is the bike second hand? I thought it was new, but with you saying it needs some TLC it got me wondering.

As for your crash, owwwwwww! Although I did read this line as follows: "last jump i did was when i was 15 in Portgual. ROBBED a banked turning....." ha! I re-read it three times until I read it right.

Just get a pic when you can. :)

The exact same frame i used to have when i was in competitions as a teenager. So it's a few years old but well worth it!

No i did not rob a bank :laugh:
 
Shame. Did you rob an impreza? :) I heard someone did, and it was found at night...you're always up late at the moment. Coincidence?

That's ace that you got the same bike as you used to have. Fond memories of broken collar bones and all that :)
 
Afternoon all.
I tried catching up but ended up skipping bits.

Crazy, yeah I ride a bike, not very much though. I use to cycle to work and back but it was causing my massive leg hurts so stopped.
I still cycle in work at dinner time every now and then. but my Cannondale just sites in the store most of the week. £600 worth of bike sat there doing nothing, shocking really. so tempted to sell it and get the cash to spend on the car or motorbike (if the women lets me).

Smudge, stay away from drugs, let the body and mind sort it out for you. I was offered Anti-depressants and told them NO and asked is there is any way I sort it out with out pills. He kind of said no. Never went back to that doc.

Welly, get a progress thread up, they are great I love em.

I think I'm in the **** at work.
I had the morning off to see my back specalist and booked it off last week. My supervisor also had today off to retake a OU exame but never told any one else in the office to cover our systems and never told the big boss. I came in this morning and found out they've been busy and we dont have any toners for about 3 classrooms cause my Super never ordered any.
I hope its not me thats in the **** any way.
 
I liked and disliked your post! Hopefully your supervisor takes the hit and not you! If he had to retake an exam, perhaps he's not very clever and hence why he forgot to order the cartridges. That'd be my argument anyway.

As for cycling, you sure you had your bike setup correctly? There's no impact (unless you're smudge) in cycling, so it might well be a bad seat position/ height etc.

Not sure really. I've had bad knees most of my life (family trait). I still cycle just not commuting any more.
15 miles aday up and down hills did not give me much motivation to keep going.

See what happens in the comming the weeks with him.
he manual rebuilt 24 machines and never installed office, any AV or port lock down security. Its a breach of syops and security for having no AV and alloying USBs on the pc.
God knows what would have happened if the ITSO found out.

Ace pic mate! I love how it looks like you did a quick dismount and just let it fall over. I feel like death every day when I get home. I try cycle home as fast as I can each day though to make myself a little fitter as its pretty much the only exercise I now do.

You should consider some slicks for that bike! You'd be amazed.

Morning all.
With all this talk of bikes I got a urge to out and ride the xcountry track in work again and attempt a jump but its raining, so I'm staying in the office.
I don't do rain.
 
Bike for me today - my £110 Ebay special :bye:

But I may invest in a more expensive one for my Birthday in August as we are cycling in fairly regularly now.

Was touch an go this morning though, because although the local forecast looks like the rain will avoid our cycle times, it was very grey this morning and felt like rain.

Feels good when you leave the car and cycle.

I'm fine I have mudguards and a very nice waterproof set, my Mrs has hair that frazzles the minute it goes anywhere near drizzle let alone rain, so moisture in the air means no cycling to work (we work together BTW).

As for rain, don't be pansies. I haven't missed a day since we had all that snow in winter. Ok, I actually lie, I missed one day due to the ridiculous wind (the weather, not my own). It was rather dangerous as I was getting blown all over the road. Rain is fun though!

And mud guards are for girls :)

Used to have boxer world cup on my old v10 they'r awesome, easy to set up and run forever. You don't wanna be putting them on Yr XC bike dude they will **** Yr head angle right up thats if they'll fit Yr headset. They'r ment for freeride/ DH bikes so if you ain't dropping off or hitting some serious trails they will make Yr ride ****e and totally pointless since it's a hard tail. You prob won't need more than 150mm and that's pushing it. If you need more travel than that you'll need think about changing the type of bike you have.
