Just logged my B5 TIP with standard airbox and it was 212g/s. With the autobahn TIP I got 204 so it's a nice increase of 8g/s. I'll be borrowing Tam's jetex filter at some point to see how much extra air flow that gives.

Quick question, is your airbox stock, ie have you drilled, smoothed it? Also what filter are you using in the airbox?

I might run my B5 Tip on the stock air box as im worried about the Jetex cone sucking in to much hot air.

Nice figures, from memory I got 6-9 g/s with my Jetex.

How does the car feel since you put the TIP on.

Oh and the wheels look ace on your car :icon_thumright:

My airbox has been smoothed and I originally got a few extra g/s from just doing that! I have a standard paper filter. If the jetex doesn't make a huge amount of difference I'll upgrade the filter in the box and I also plan to run some 4" ducting into the box.

The car feels great at the moment and pulls like a madman all the way to the redline. You must remember that I also have a brand new turbo on and a 3" downpipe.

Now by no means am I saying my car is as fast as a Porsche GT3 but I kept up with one on my way home tonight WTF

Just ordered all my FMIC parts. £218 posted but that figure should drop down a fair bit as Mr Silicone do free delivery for any orders over £70.

I'm planning to fitt it all next Thursday/Friday so a guide will be on the way.

While I wait for my FMIC gear to turn up I dont want to be left twiddling my thumbs looking for things to do so I'm thinking of getting cracking on my wheel refurb to my old S3 wheels.

My plan is to use these wheels for track use only, paint them a lairy colour and cover them in Federal 595 RS-R tyres like Prawn has. I am planning to do them in red as it compliments the minge blue quite well and it suitably lairy enough for the track ;)

I have had a new idea though for the spokes. I was thinking about masking off the face of each spoke and spraying the wheel black then mask off everything except the spokes and spray them red. This will give the wheels a bit of depth but it will take a hell of a lot longer to do.

Anyone got any ideas on colour or things I could do to the wheels?

Also if anyone is any good with Photo Shop and fancies colouring in a few S3 wheels for me, feel free ;)

what colours Troopa's s3? I think he's got black avus' on ming blue/black - which lets face it looks the same :jester:

Hmmm, it's the best I could google, but I shan't try any more:blownose:

A dark bronze colour would look sick

One of the 8p guys have it on a dark s3

I'm giving up with trying to refurb the Brembo calipers myself, they are a pain in the ****!

Does anyone know of any places I can send them to get them properly refurbed? I want new dust seals, new piston seals and powder coating.

Dropped my car off for its 4 wheel alignment this morning. Decided to do some AIT logging with my SMICs as I wont have many more chances before I fit the FMIC.

The outside temp was 17 degrees Celcius
Highest AIT 33 Celcius on boost
Off boost average was 27 degrees

All my FMIC kit should arrive today so I'll get pics up later.

33 is proper cold dude, but that's probably because you're running such low boost so it's not got the chance to make any heat.

my little ko3S at 20psi on the daily with a single SMIC reaches 66-67 degrees :(

Yeah I was surprised at how cold it was. I know it was only 17 outside so it will be a lot worse in the heat of summer. 66/67 is damn hot!!! What does the track car do?
