Hey, Anyone go coarse fishing? where have you experienced the best places to fish in the UK?

P.S. Don't attach links unless you've been there and caught 25lb+ carp or massive catfish.

This is more for my boy, he's been to Celtic Lakes @ Lampeter, the specimen lake is really good, just want to venture around.

Cheers.

I course fish, not really done it in the last couple of years as golf has taken over, but am planning on dangling a line again this year.

I am very lucky though, as i have some of the best waters in the country on my doorstep, as well as some of these stocked places.

Tell him to get his backside to Cambs and dangle in one of the many waters we have here, be it an over stocked place, a low stocked big pit or the river Gt Ouse ( the last 2 are my style), the opportunities are endless.

I also like the predator fishing we have here on the fens, awesome

Can't wait till Thursday :) New season and hitting Epsom stew ponds nice and early.......those ******* fish better be up for it

What fish do you catch in the ponds Mrmok?

Have had some nice bream and tench out as well as the smaller stuff, dace perch.......You do see people carp fishing but I don't go in for that myself. It's not a bad location only shame is there is no night fishing :( You can only fish the lower pond though not the big one but it's only a fiver for a days fishing, so makes a nice change from the thames without having to travel too far

Night fishing is the best. Esp when the alarm goes off at the crack of dawn and we're scrambling out the nash indulgent bed chairs!

Yup can't beat night fishing, beer, kebab and fishing in the dark. now that's living :)
