Dane's Hybrid Conversion Thread

Bill, are you thinking of changing the guides on this as a matter of longeveity or going to measure/check this head first?

new guides on exhausts will be done. once done its forget about it for the next loadsa miles then

I have found and done a deal on a head for you Dane. Answerphone message left for you
let the games commence

YEAH man! can't actually wait now.

Thank you very much Bill.

Right!

So plans are a foot!

Bill has sourced me a large port head because he's good like that, which will shortly be refreshed and made ready to go on.

Bill also has a Frankenturbo k04 hybrid sitting on the side with no car to try it out on. So it is destined for my car, the Cr hybrid will be taken off, the new hotside will be put on to cure the need for the stiff as hell actuator and associated problems and I've found a willing buyer :eyebrows: Can't wait for the outcome of that...

In The Cr hybrids stead will be the Frankenturbo K04 hybrid (I think its called an F23) I'm not too sure if anyones really used one in this country but it'll very interesting to see how the two compare. It'll be given the best chance with the big port, exhaust mani and WMI which will be turned up so it's not starting at 9 psi - as it is I destroy water meth so easily! and if Welly can last a week so can I :)

Yep, it gives Bill something to test the f23 on and letting Bill use my car in the past has worked pretty well for me :)

Dont think much of wellys turbo is left lol. Good to hear its all coming along Dane

Cheers Steve, not alot left of Welly's turbo at all. It feels good at the moment at low boost so I can't wait for all the boost!

Frankenturbo's make girl's cry :eyebrows:

That turbo it's from slappy_dunbar, I was just waiting for that, because Bill and slappy do talk a lot about turbo stuff... I hope it works good because I also want to buy a hybrid.

Did I get my update right Bill? is it the f23?

And you can get a turbo from the states in 2 days... lol

It's me, I'm buying it for 50p... Posted. May use it for a ornament as it does seem much cop for anything else... :p

I think this car is going to owe you bigtime Dane... It better had put out this time

Dane will it be ready for my test drive on the 1st of July ;)
not sure it depends how well things go and when Bill can fit me in.

:lmfao: i hope it puts out too! I reckon ive spent as much on it as i did buying it now...
it does work it's flowing 225 g/s before the end of 4th so it isn't slow at all, just needs a new hot side to reach its potential

Whats the new fraken turbos possible power output?

What capacity are your nozzles for the w/m? The fellow here in the States running an F23 had started with 225s on either side of the throttle. We then upped to 375s but he feels the ecu is struggling to deliver a proper fuel mix. So now we're back to fiddling with it again. This time it'll be 375cc upstream with a 225 after the TB.

It's the middle size nozzle from the aem kit but I don't know the cc size, Bill will. Were using one nozzle sounds like your using 2?

Its located in the post fmic piping here
