I'm getting an Alpine HU soon. I understand i need a Bose adapter for it to plug into the back of it? I have a fully amped Bose system in my S3, what adapter do i need and where from??

Thanks

ull still get the speaker pop on that one. car audio direct have one with resistors inside to remove the speaker pop.

Think its this one with the black box on it. Give them a quick call before ordering theyre really helpful people and know their stuff. Its a common question so theyll know for sure.

the pop only happens when i turn the tuner on and off, not the stereo. I'm sure i only paid about £15 delivered for mine. was cheaper than ebay i know that much.

depends if ur full bose or not. If full itll pop on/off, changing track, when you mute on/off, someone phones you (parrot), gets really annoying after a while.

Definitely the connects2 one. Tried two auto leads before giving up on them. Zero issues with the connects2 one though :)

Im going to revive this thread!

Ive fitted the connects2 adapter to my full bose system,it works fine bar the small pop when you turn the radio on or off.... any way you can get around this?

yea you need to get rid of the stock amp/sub unit and go with andymac or something like this.... i just refitted my stock HU back in as it was starting to **** me off...

I've got the full bose system (Concert 1) and really just wanna be able to plug an MP3 player in somewhere.

Sorry to thread crash, but will the connects 2 one work on my car? It's a 2000 S3 with a bose cd changer and an amp... (Not sure if it's full or partial amped)

Ben

You wont as you retain your stock hu ,I will be trying one at some point, the popping is only caused when using after market hu ...

when my car is back from paint i will be getting one and will let you all know the outcome
