can someone tell me if this really has 6 gears??

2000 AUDI A4 1.8 T Quattro Sport

I e-mailed these people about this car and they said it was the six speed version, but it doesn't look like it to me from the pictures! Who on here would know from the look of this thing whether it really is a "sport" and whether it's got a six speed box?

Would it also have DIS?- I think it looks like it does...

No B5 1.8T had a 6 speed from the factory, so unless it was retrofitted (which is somewhat unlikely) it'll be a 5 speed.

It will have a DIS for sure.

No, its a 5spd box (looks at the top of the gear stick, has 6 positions)
Yes it looks like a TQS (same as mine)
Though looks like it has aftermarket headlamps with the led DRLs (watch out for mot issues).

Has BOSE audio and yes Definately DIS

Looks a clean car though...

Could be odd sized tyres... but yeah, im inclined to agree there JP

I think non sport springs/dampers fitted. Mine had broken rear springs when i got my tqs, and i believe its a common problem? Could an inexperienced garage unknowingly fit standard shock setup instead of sport stuff????!

Good excuse to knock seller down on price and then fix it with some nice lowering goodies!

Yeh it'll have been fitted with springs from a motorfactors or similar for a "1.8T Quattro", unfortunately these places never sell replacement springs for sport models, hence the silly ride height. A member on here had the same thing happen, and the garage insisted they'd settle, when infact they were just wrong.
