Just for reference, what exactly is it you are trying to build here - what do you need?

I see you mentions a GT2871, that's fair enough, but you will need a manifold for it etc etc etc.

Basicly a long the line of your pe 1820 build now but with a 2871 turbo. Cant find the turbo anywhere nor the manifold may be my searches are just not that good enough. Your hybrid thread and the pe1820 one as well were excellent reads and given me the inspiration to do a build as similar to yours but using a 2871 turbo. Just need to find it all which i cant n price it all up

OK, well there are so many thing you need to consider with this.

Manifold - top mount or underslung.
Wastegate - internal or external.
Exhaust A/R - what size.
Turbine housing flange - what type.

Other things to consider -

Downpipe
Oil and coolant lines
TIP
Injectors
Fuel pump
Charge pipework.

All of the above will affect the prices. For example, and external wastegate setup will cost more than an internally gated turbo, not just for the kit, but also to fit as you will need to have additional exhaust pipework made.

First you need to get in your mind exactly what you want.

Best place to source a turbo IMO is here: GT3 TURBO :: Performance Turbos :: Garrett GT Ball Bearing :: Garrett GT2871R

That page links to the GT2871R that GT3 supply.

Here is a link to one of the many top mount GT28 manifolds: VAG209430 - T25 Exhaust Manifold flange for VAG 1.8 20V Retrofit [VAG209430] - £438.10 : Turbo Dynamics, Turbochargers, Turbosmart & TiAL Sport Performance Products

That one is a T25 flange type mani.

Those should get you started - but seriously, do a LOT of research and make your mind up what YOU want.

Well at first i did want to take my garret t3 hybrid turbo of my old focus rs and see if i could fit that to it but again the mani stop me. Roght mani will defo be top mounted internal gated 3 inch bore from turbo back tip hopefully badger 5 has some in stock iif not produce my own injectors i havent a clue which ones to go for think some one said 640. Fuel pump would be a hard one aswell it really is a shame that no one i can find round ere that has the experience and knowledge of these cars like you lot do down there nor can i find a tuning company for advice

Prop a dumb question ere but would a t28 flange fit to that t25 manifold that you sent a link to if im being a complete ****** please slap me

T28 is the same as a T25 flange.

Your Focus RS will have had a T25 flanged turbo as well, so if you have a turbo from that it may well be useable, unless you changed the manifold when you fitted the hybrid?

Brilliant i can do what i actually wanted to do with my old turbo now on to geting the other parts :)

Is the "eliminator kit" not 2871 based? thus including manifold/ oil pipes etc?.

The eliminator series are garret GT2x cores, with a custom turbine housing that allows it to fit the OEM manifold.

Humm think im gonna atempt my rs hybrid gotta try and find a very good exhaust fabricator to make the down pipe
