Basically i have this SD card in my RNS-E:

When i am wanting to change the song with the steering wheel its super slow and 'laggy'

Would this be the SD card?

If so what would you recommend?

If its me and im being fussy then ill get my coat

This happened to you recently, or is it so from the beginning?
Is it slow even if you change tracks directly on the unit?
If so, try to format your SD card on your computer and copy the tracks on it again. If the problem persists, buy a new faster SD card.

There shouldn't be a lag. I've two cards in mine & it does take a bit to load up when you 1st start the car but after that its quick.

Sorry to highjack your thread, but love your alloys. What kind are they mate?

VMR'S buddy :)

From the beginning.
This is hard to explain but ill try. On the rns-e its perfect with the steering wheel its poo. When flicking through with the rns-e it has the little arrow next to the song so you can flick through without changing the song. With the steering wheel you cant do this when you try to flick through it changes the song and after i have span the little wheel down it will start playing a random song below after a few seconds.

Ths song list loads perfectly its when scroilling through i have major lag

Did you retrofit MFSW? Was everything connected and coded properly? Were there any errors?
I think the problem must be somewhere else, since everything works OK directly on the RNS-E.

Did anyone found a solution on this issue?
As it works perfectly by some users i assume it has something to do with the used SD-Card.

Try a class 10 card.
One in the image above is a class 4

I've tried a class 10 card with 95mb/s reading speed already, and sadly it works just as bad as my old class 6 card

What firmware version does your rns have installed?

I'll test mine again but I'm sure its ok, then again I use soundcloud allot these days.

I have the same problem, I upgraded my old rnse 192 and fitted the new 193g. Everything works perfect but the only problem is the delay when i change tracks from the sd card.
It only happens with the mfsw, if I change between tracks directly on the rnse, there is not any lag. Does anybody knows what to do for solve this problem?
Thanks in advance.

Many of us have installed mk2 rnse, nobody has problems changing songs with the steering wheel??

I'm sensing you're seriously unhappy with it, so I think you need to rip out the entire kit including the wheel and get rid..... to me :D

When you say changing tracks on the head unit, do you mean with the left and right buttons or selecting the track with the wheel and pushing it to play?

On my steering wheel, there is a delay of about 2 seconds between tracks? I thought this was normal.

I mean the delay between tracks we have on SD cards when we use the steering wheel buttons.
When I change tracks from the head unit with the wheel, everything works perfect, there is not any delay or lagging

Your'e not comparing apples with apples. If you change tracks using the fwd or back buttons on the head unit you will experience a similar delay, right?
