Post pics of your A3/S3

Not posted on here in ages, just tend to look through for information, but over past few months I've manged to come a bit further with car as over past two years of ownership before that I hadn;t really had best of luck with it and lost all motivation. The top pictures are from tha day I picked it up and the pictures below the spec (copied from other forums) are as it stand now (more or less).

Other changes since are new TT Pedals, black interior mats and a new boot carpet as mine has had a fair battering. Yes the sub isn;t connected but I just leave it in the car as no room in house. Also I have removed a few of the stickers I have fitted over time and also some of the original stickers from hidden areas.

Plenty more to come still for engine, interior and exterior and certainly needs a good detail but comments and criticsms welcome - probably not to everyones taste but I just wanted something different that I felt would work and I have had a lot of decent compliments about it. Cheers :)

Yeah it's having a Wet Vacuum over the next week - both seats and mats and as I won't be using until next weekend after Friday I've got plenty of time for it all to dry.

It's an R8 filler cap mate.

lol i thought he meant the petrol filler cap, what is that.

Wheels look nice on it mate

car looks very different, well done.

Ah yeah, so he did. It's a sticker which says 'Bubengropen' - i'll get a picture of it when I get chance :)

I'm comtenplating it but I wanna do a few photoshops first as I have a few ideas in my head. But i'm gonna wait until I need new tyres and then do it all at once that way saving me money on tyre removal as will get full wheel sprayed

Hello from Spain!

a few pictures of the current state of my 8L TDI “RS4 B7 look”, after three years of changes.
The project is unfinished, especially the engine, but we hope to finish in the near future…

Carmelo that looks absolutely fantastic! brilliant 8l to 8p style conversion in my opinion. I also really like the leather seats, they're the same colour I'm looking to get for my car (which has a similar conversion to yours):

Greetings!

Im not a fan of 8p conversions but that really does look like its straight from Audi! that rear bumper looks great!

well done that man!

Thanks for the comments :sm4:

My intention isn´t that will seems to an 8P... I´m an 8L lover, and I seek my own 8L “RS look” made with original RS parts, adapted to 8L model, in order to maintain the brand essence... 95% of parts and accessories installed are from S-RS models (included both bumpers)…

I'm looking for a TDI 8L “RS-looking”... and mechanical performance at least “S” (in order 230 HP - 480 Nm). As I said before, the project is open and motor preparation comes after summer (actually 170 HP - 405 Nm) , BBS Speedline 19 "...

Here, a photo of B7 RS4 rear bumper, just before starting to adaptation...

Finally the idea was not bad, seeing the final result...

Tbh the 8l **** end is boring as ****, shame theres no aftermarket kit to offer some kind of cool rear diffuser or something along the lines.

There's plenty all over the net.Its just that most of you lads simply don't like em cause theyre not genuine audi stuff/not oem.

Thank you very much, I appreciate the comments ...

I was sure, before transformation, that both rear lines (RS4 B7 AVANT - A3/S3 8L) were very similar and compatible... The RS4 B7 rear bumper has been integrated perfectly into the 8L line…

I have many images of the making process...and the other changes. I don´t know if I can open a thread to show it, if anyone wants to make...I have seen that most of threads in this forum talk about mechanics!

P. S.: and sorry, but I speak little English ... I used the translator too, but I know it's not enough to explain things well…especially specific terms that I don´t know translate…

Thank you drthosa!

The exhaust is handmade, custom made especially for this TDI model ... and this bumper.

Was made in "Don Silencioso", La Coruña (Galicia), a well known company in Spain, specializing in manufacturing stainless steel sport exhaust, with homologation.

At this point is completed a portion of the line: the centre pipe and the double rear exhaust, with sport silencer-muffler less restricted and two tail pipe tip (left-right) with oval form and slant cut. The measures are 105 x 150 (virtually identical to OEM RS4).

Originally pipe diameter range was 2,1 inches (5,5 cm .)... and increased to 2,5 inches (6,5 cm.), a significant increase, but logical and without exaggerating ... suitable of empowerment that will have ...

In the future the line will be completed with a front-down pipe 2,5 inches and an sport catalytic converter… all made in “Don Silencioso”.

About the sound has totally changed, become louder and bass, like a big fat diesel... and I don´t know why when changing gear lance a blowing similar to a dump valve… but I like it!

Hello Tomas, thank you!

you have good view ... but steering wheel comes from a S6 Tiptronic ... and the airbag from a TT MKI. I also placed an S-line badge. The steering wheel was upholstered in perforated leather, with the sewn in red thread.

About sideskirts you're right... they´re the Rieger model, but modified to fit the body... in this case Audi didn´t manufacture any valid for installing or adapt... and I was looking for something flat, to combine with the front bumper (flat too)... currently, the sideskirts of latest models are similar, with flat bottom line...

Your English is very good so far! I'm sure alot of people would be interested in a thread with all the work involved.

Ok, then if there is no objection maybe this week I open a thread to show (without haste, I have little time) the processes of the changes to the members...

Greetings!

90jb11 - Have you thought about 'facelift' front one-piece headlights, lowering springs or coilovers, different wheels? There should be plenty of threads on here to get inspiration from.

freemann87 - what bodykit is that? GmbH? Looks tidy.

WIZZA - I couldn't get away with it at my age (says the man with the stripey MG!), but it looks great! Only thing I don't like is the rear lights. I'd keep the TT Comps polished silver - love 'em.

Carmelo - Superb work there! What a transformation. Shows you what a quality finish you can get with some vision and attention to detail. Looking forward to seeing your build-thread on the forum.

Carmelo - very impressive work. Speechless I would say though!

Cheers dude - much appreciated :) The rear lights are a big hit and miss - I'm gonna get the corner part tinted aswell to finish them off (shame they didn't come like that but I nearly went for fully tinted but wanted to keep the clear look at the rear otherwise it would look to dull on against the blue) but I may look at going back to standard but with the red area tinted. Just need to get hold of a spare set of standards first (just don't fancy paying a fortune for them). The pictures below show a better picture of the rear and a new picture of the interior including a fresh boot carpet (still needs a wet vacuum and a full detail in and out);

I have a pretty decent vague idea of the route I'm going now, suspension, engine (KO3s or KO4 - Hybrids) and aesthetic wise but being doing a lot of research in all departments :) just lack of funds so taking it step at a time :)

P.S. Wheels wise I'm not sure yet I still need to do photoshops. Such as polished anthracite with orange touches. Only issues is that if I go Orange it needs to be Matt to match the roof and mirrors. I still waiting to get a tinted rear plate, ECS plugs fitted, black washer-fluid and coolant cap, towing eye hanger amd just been looking at price of rear tints (not sure how dark yet).

You may be able to tell my 'recess; area isn't exactly smooth. I will be getting this redone eventually!
