Hmm I managed 57 MPG on my way from my weekend away (DIS reading) at a steady 70 MPG on cruise - seems to be getting better since my recent work / woes.

Mine will be worse in 2 weeks. Turbo refurbed, Badger 5 TIP, and a few other bits and pieces. I'll be gunning it everywhere!

Why do i only get 45-55mpg max when trying. doing like 55-60 mph
does my engine need to be run in more book mpg is like 80 i know im never going to get that but surly should be alot closer?

Yes mate, this one has rear mudflaps adapted to fit the front. They do a good job, as everytime I wash this car, the mudflap is caked up with crap! But personally, I think it looks better without.

As stated, you can get them in all sorts of fitment, but since I have a Karscher jetwash, I got one to fit mine.

I have a meth supplier locally to me. If we both buy meth together, then we can buy twice as much, and get a better discount.
The guy Bill uses is biblically unreliable sadly. It's about £2 a litre from these lot, virgin grade, although I can get it cheaper from somewhere else.
Let me know if you are interested in a Meth group buy.... lol

Welly, My dad uses meth for his Bio-fuel.
He buys it in 200litres drums.
If it helps lower the price for all, I dont mind coming in and buying 200litres for him.

nope not yet it's running but not properly mapped, Bills busy but he seemed to think he could get mine on the dyno today and then get the water meth installed and dial the map in a bit. And then I get it back.

Not at all dude, it's not that well known, although becoming more popular now.

Long and short, the methanol highers the octane level of the inbound fuel meaning you can use more timing advance, and the water absorbs heat, reducing charge, cylinder and exhaust temperatures making a healthier engine.
Not very often mate, when my screenwash light comes on. Depends how you drive - if on boost lots, then more often than if you potter.
Once every two weeks or so normally.

Yeah thats me giggling/screaming in excitement, proper grinning!
Because our K04's turn into heat pumps even after a stage 1 map the 50/50 mix of water and methanol, injected into the airflow, helps the engine run cooler and more reliably I think. I don't fully understand it myself but I know it's good for my hybrid and Bill reccomends it.

Guys would it be worth using Meth on a stock K04 with all the possible mods. A maxed out K04 if you like?

Eh, confused again! haha. Do you store it in your screenwash tank? Or do you just use that sensor on anotehr tank to let you know when empty?

Absolutely. K04's are notorius for high exhaust gas temps.
In fact, water meth is MOST useful on turbos such as the K04, especially when it's highly strung.
Brings temps down, and will allow for more timing advance.
The general rule of thumb is 4 degrees extra timing is around 10 BHP power.
Cooler = better. Better = longer lasting. Longer lasting = happier engine. Happy engine = less stuff breaking.
Yeah, I didn't bother with routing all the piping to the boot and all that crap.
I use my screenwash tank to store my water meth 50/50 mix - pump is directly underneath it. Big, completely unmissable and thoroughly annoying warning light when low.

Hmmm I might look into a kit for next year. I dont want to go too mad with timing and power/torque on my standard internals but bringing down temps is always a good thing.
