I think the clutch will die soon after the mapping i think if i drive it hard

I'll get a picture of it off

Awesome work Andrew. Looking forward to seeing some more pics and possibly a video :icon_thumright:.

Think you may have the quickest S3 on here once all the BT guys have finished their projects.

Thank you more pictures and videos to follow

I hope to be one of the fastest S3's out there the only problem's i have now is i have standard brakes ( need to get ) standard shocks and springs ( got coilovers but not fitted yet ) and standard clutch ( Its only done 3k and will only last another 3k with this power ) I hope to get a new one from badger later on

At Bill and Paul's request... More pictures and a small video clip

Finished fitting my WMI with the tank and the pump in the boot

Just need to sort out the timing as i must be out half a tooth but thats easy for me as its got a adjustable cam pulley

Video isn't great as its on its first start up and the tappets haven't filled with oil yet but i must say when its turned of i love hearing the turbo still spinning

Andrew, I'm just curious, would you keep your Water meth tank that side if doing it again and what made you decide to mount it as it is?

Not at all Bill, I agree with where you suggested - just curious is all :)

Cool man, I was just wondering whether there was any descisions you had made that made you place it where you have, not being an a-hole just curious

Very little room for WMI tanks sadly... usually peeps ditch the spare in favour of electric pump and puncture repair jollop then fit the pump and tank in the wheel well at the back... have fitted these on the side panels too..

Only real way to get it out of the way is a custom alloy tank in the wheel well which is what I will be doing... eventually lol...

I will be running a smallish devils own tank initially though..

<tuffty/>

Cool, I've got the same kit going on mine

Looking really good Andrew.

What intercooler setup are you running for the 500+hp?

Also what and where did you get the crackle black paint from, looks awesome.

This looks like a real monster, will be good to see some videos of it in action.

Off topic, but Lizard Racing you used to have a 106 am I right?

Thanks for the reply Andrew, will have a look on ebay for the paint.

Lol, yes I did mate until last year. Working on an S3 at the moment.

Final sorted out the timing and its now running smoother, tappets have filled with oil and no tapping.

Will take it for a drive to see what its like and them try and get it booked in for mapping

Soooo close! Bet you cant wait to get it mapped and drive it properly? Brilliant thread btw have followed all the way through!

I can't wait for it to be mapped but i'm also scared as i hate dyno days

fresh ish engine but thats not been revved passed 5k, Expensive turbo and kit, lots of time spent on it, lots of money spent on it

I'll be s**ting bricks also

I know the feeling, i had a K04'd S4 that i had plowed money into and when they do on the dyno your usually the only one looking away, was the same with my Evo 8 as we all know how fragile they are and i couldnt watch....

all the best Andrew
hoping everything works a treat for you.

look forward to hearing your results... going to be a monstor!
:D

To be honest i just have a feeling that its not going to make as much power i think it will

I know it sounds stupid but the engine doesn't have a massive engine spec, just a 2.1 ( inc rods and pistons ), Ported head with valves and springs, GTX3076r with External gate, 870cc injectors, twin fuel pumps, standard cams, steel flywheel, R32 T/B and a big intercooler with WMI?

My old car had a engine spec as long as my arm and everything been modified for more power and reliability in mind.

Anyway i will start the boost off at 24 psi and then take it up to 30 or 35 psi?

i think your spec is good..
be interesting to see if the spec of the gtx3076 is in line with what the older gt35r ran.. as i know what that was like..
>530kw @ wheels and max'd the dyno I was using at the time - dyno retarder was literally smoking trying to hold it

It is dave

AEB inlet and I have a plenum that will come from the state

Also you can see a Mk2 Fiesta beam that i have modified so it can be adjusted for camber and coilovers

It would be rude not to do the rear brakes now i have 350mm with six pots on the front and now 330mm rears with standard calipers on the rear, I was thinking about four pots on the rear but i couldn't justify the price of them anyway.. Enjoy.

330mm rears??!!!

Very nice!! Wheres that kit from? Good to see your bringing your chassis into line with the power to be expected!

Whens mapping buddy? You say Paul Murray will be doing it?

Yes 330mm rears

Compbrakes again, still got to fit the coilovers i have and a R32 rear ARB

Not 100% sure when mapping is as i want to get all the brakes sorted and make sure the engine will be really as in fitting the bigger maf and other little things

Swapped the springs in the external wastegate from the 24 psi that was in it to a 10 psi springs Badger Bill suggested, rigged up the MBC with the N75 valve now plumbed in

Yes Paul Murray will be mapping it seeing they are only down the road from me

Only down side to these discs are the cap head bolts and crush nuts

Some have been crushed to much and they end up stripping the thread of the cap head so i need to get six more for the weekend
