Just got off the phone to Sweden,

It doesn't look like there going to help us. The fellow I spoke to said we would need to purchase a minimum of a 100 units for them to ship them out. thats a whole lot of cash needed there.

Are you able to find out how much it is for 100 units or have the number for the guy you called?

Its just that I've come up against a Unit with the following make / model number: Haldex controller 02D 900 554 C at a bargin price was wondering if this is just a "normal" Haldex or indeed a Performance type unit.

I have emailed Haldex HQ direct however no responce in around a week from them.

Do a quick google search. That part number seems to be off a 2000 Golf.

I'm guessing you're looking at the eBay item

02D 900 554 C looks to me to be a standard controller, however I believe it is the v2 of the Gen1 controller as fitted to cars from 2003 onwards rather than the v1 as fitted to basically all S3s.

Best bet is to get a better photo of the label from the seller to check.

The remote only works with Gen 2 upwards and 8L S3s are Gen 1 so you won't find many on here interested in the remote I'm afraid

They said they are going to keep the orginal price but will refund money to everyone depending how many they sell "over 20".

Did you manage to get a price from haldex for the 100 units ? been speaking with my accountant and i would need a partner for this if we could get them cheap enough....any takers?
He is concerned that the cars are getting on a bit, and 5-£600 is a lot to ask for a 10 year old motor on a performance part..unless we can mix with gen 2s?

Little update GNG's........

I have taken a look at the figures, I can go down to £575 Inc VAT for 20+ Gen 1 Controllers.

In regards to the Gen 2 guys, the price for each as part of this group buy (doing my best to include everyone) is £650 Inc VAT (Retail £756 Inc VAT)
