URGENT HELP - 1.8T FRONT BEARING CAP SEALENT (WHERE)

Hi need some help please, on the front bearing cap you are supposed to put sealent on it, But where do you put it e.g at the end's - end and middle - or all over excluding where cam seals sit.

Any help apreciated

Have you thought of a dealer? Surely they would know.

I didn't put any on mine when I did my cam chain tensioner recently. No leaks either...

I always put a smidge in the corners by the bearing caps to head edge. 4 little dots does me

on the sides once caps torqued down, just the corners where the gasket has to do 90 degrees almost
