hiya folks, got my plate fitted today and went out for a blast in the car, not used it in a month or so, and ive forgot how bad the gear selectors are, its done 100k so im guessing new rods will be a great help, ive also seen the mount adaptor thingy above the gear box, short shift kit or whatever it is? lol, anyway that any good ?

cheers for any help, sean

20 minute job mate. You lock the box in neutral position with a little button on the side of the box (bet you never knew it was there ;) ) then you remove the bracket for the throw movement. Put the new one on and tighten up. release gearbox lock.

There are 2 shortshift brackets though. 1 for throw/front to back movement, and 1 for side to side movement. I got the throw bracket. Both are around £40

cheers mate ill get one of these and get it on, cheers again

It might take a little adjustment of the linkage cable to get it as smooth as possible. It's fairly straight forward as there is a little screw thing by the bracket that lets you adjust it.

I'd also recommend getting your gearbox oil changed. It made quite a big difference to mine.

oh. yes please. can pay the postage and if succesful could make a how to...
