Car's looking sweet, haven't checked this thread for a while as I have been working on mine... nowhere near as good as yours though...

How much did you pay for the painting to get done and where, need to get my blades/front bumper/bonnet done, but trying to find a good bodyshop that doesn't charge a fortune hard...

Also how much did you pay for the bluetooth, seriously want to get this done, but in the next 8 weeks have MOT/service/new pads and discs all round/painting AND a trip to Le Mans..... ouch...

Cheers mate, really appreciate it.

Paint was 250, mate done it for me though ( twice :) )

Was meant to have the car in for getting rs4 arb, wheel alignment and boot lid swap today but the window fitter decided to take the day off. Hopefully in on Tuesday instead now,

Next up will be getting the s4 brakes powdercoated and fitted as well as new tailpipe welded on to suit the new valance

Bluetooth was just shy of 200 quid mate, a lot of cash, but I think it's great

Carl,

Don't suppose your mate would be interested in doing some painting for me? If I remember correctly you're on the East coast, I stay in Glasgow, but the parents live in Glenrothes and will be visiting them next Sat, so could arrange for your mate to have a look and quote me?

If I can get a proper job done and put some cash to a fellow audi fan in the meantime, more than happy to do so...

Cheers

Steve

Yes, I'm in Kirkcaldy but Stewart the painter is over in whitburn near livingston. I can have a word with him if you like? Or give you his number

He's a sound guy, proper audi/Vw nut too. Hes got a b7 avant he's fixing up the now, an a8, a mk3 golf vr6 to showcase his work and a mk1 golf gti project :)

Hi Carl,

Cheers for that, Whitburn is even closer to me so that's a result, I'll let you speak to Stewart first to see if he's happy to do some work for me, if so then I have PM'd you my number and Stewart can give me ring to sort out a suitable time for a quote...

Cheers, I owe you a beer...

Something not quite right,

Us plate still to go on when they come in stock, got the new valance to go on once I've got new tailpipes and think I'll put the four rings back on

Think it needs the four rings back on...

Yeah, definitely putting the rings back on mate, just to break it up a bit

Deffo the rings....

Are you de-wipering too?

Whats a 'US' plate, a square one?

Yeah mate, a square imPort style one.

Think I prefer it with the wiper too? Will get a glass bung first to compare it and take it from there

Quote something not quite right
I can see the recess for the us plate? .I like the rear wipers ON these .
And would have the rings on also ..
Great car ...

Yeah, my mates plate machine is playing up and he's run out of us plates so we just cut down the standard plate for now.

Us plate is taller so you wont see the recess in the lid

The car mate lol so if u know anyone that wants a us boot lid for a saloon let me know :)

I think he has made to move to a S3.

Cheers Nathan, hopefully have plate sorted early next week.

Currently pricing up 2 new front wings, smoothed and arches folded right back. Then the coilovers can go down more

Got these from Mr Barron, cheers auld yin.

Had to get a new tyre on the front the other day. This is how 'I will' get the back to sit and the front to match

I wouldn't I'm not convinced. It's to much and counter to what i have read reverse and indicators are red.

If you do it apply and leave for a week or two before trimming as nine shrank again where I had stretched it. Now it's to small. Great product though just better when your used to it. Headlights look great in gunsmoke.

Cheers

Did you do the whole light unit? I was thinking of just doing the clear bit if I could get away with it?

I've heard of people getting more powerful led bulbs to combat the issue of the lights shining a different colour? You try that?

I only covered the clear part. I stretched it ad per instruction but it does shrink back.
I can tell it's film so not happy with it. However the product is very good.
I'm not bothered about the lights showing true just wanted you to be aware.

Gonna smoke mine next, maybe in laminx as headlights are brilliant.

New rear valance on

Just bought a full stainless style system with twin 4" pipes, should fill the spaces well :)

Liking that, been looking for a valance form mine. Does it line up with the twin exits? Was planning to just change the final pipes when i fit.
