After a bit of maintenance work I decided to tweak the suspension/coilovers a bit. I dropped her by another 10mm all round...

What do you think?

no idea,

Our car is currently sitting 26" front and 25" rear. Can probably assume it should be sitting around 26" all round, if not a little higher, if all the springs were new.

That's what carrying half of a Land Rover in your boot will do for you lol.

24.5 inches all round mine is but im 90% sure when it was standard to what it is now i`ve dropped about 3 inches. Looking at Lee`s pics up there (which i love the colour a lot i might add) mine is slightly lower.

Also mine is basic spec so didnt have the sport suspension as standard

The grease definitely did help although I nearly pulled it off the trolley jack trying to free the rears lol.

I've re-greased them for when I smash the sump and have to raise the height again lol

Cheers mate

I might need to lower mine a little bit more then lol.

Lol i keep looking at mine thinking i need to drop it down a touch more. Its just a pain with slip on spacers and it makes me not want to faff around doing it but i may drop the rears a bit more. Fronts are a good height plus im already scraping my bumper on the 4 speed bumps to get to my street lol but rears are looking a bit higher so they need to come down.

Cheers for the positive feedback. I'm loving the look of the car at the moment

Some scrote has taken two of my BBS dustcaps, looking to pimp their BMX no doubt so I need replacements for them now

Looking nice, love the colour!
I don't know how you lot get away with all this Lowering ..

I have standard Sports Suspension and I'm going over bumps at 5mph and still managing to scrape the front bottom..

On something even lower it must be not far off ripping the front off..

You must have some massive speed bumps then or the 5mph is more like 50 lol. Or your bumper is hanging off :p

I gave my sump a good thud on sunday going over a small speed bump not even that fast. Not very pleasant but its still in one piece.

Seriously though just normal bumps really and if you drive up a road verge on a driveway really steep it's about touching the ground..

You all must have no paint on the Front bottom bumper and full of scrapes..

To be fair i only have a few light scrapes and one slightly deeper one on the underneath of the bumper. Considering i hear it scrape the floor everytime i go over the 4 speed bumps to my house.

get a pic up of the car so we can see how low it is as im surprised by what you`re saying.

Right I have been told it needs lowering but it is Standard..there is no way I'm lowering it to Scrape the underneath..but I'm a bit that way about the car really to be honest..

I know what you will say soon has you see it..that needs lowering..

Well if there were no speed bumps I might be there are 1000's of them..

No no, wasnt going to say that. But what i will say is now i know why it scrapes...ie the extra body kit thats on there lol. makes sense now.

Yes it's the Works Audi Votex Kit been on there from the start..I'm sure if it was lowered much more it would be like all that have lowered there cars much scraping on the front end...

Drives me mad now crawling over all the bumps..

Imagine having a £70,000 Porsche I think I would drive on the pavement to avoid them..

My car isnt a daily, wkend toy really. It doesnt do too bad on the road but havent went that far yet. It does scrape slightly on the gradient down leaving the garage, but isnt too bad. You learn to live with it really, and take your time.

Oh, yours needs lowering....just a touch!!!!:p:icon_thumright:

In an ideal world with no speed bumps then yes I would think about lowering it but really it's not worth the aggro.

Could not cope with the Scrapes that come with it..

What's the point in keeping the rest of the car has good has you can and go and scratch all the underneath just because you can't see it..

Because you cant see it...:p and aslong as theres no significant damage then meh lol
