Hi Guys,
So I found the time during the 2 long weekends last week to head up to leicester
and get my remap from R-Tech. The guys got my car on the dyna
for a run, performed a smoke test and then loaded the remap for a last run.
I have a few leaks which i need to sort out:
-N75 valve
-Injector Seals
-PCV system (advised to do the catch can mod)
-Air leak on the B5 tip (i think just needs tightening)
-N249 bypass delete
My graph is below, what do you guys think? should i be getting more out
of my car?
Not sure its too clear on the picture but the stats are:
Max Power (Rtech) - 214.763 (247.480) / 5260
Max Power (Stock) - 178.877 (221.408) / 5935
Max Torque (Rtech) - 220.29 (248.73) / 4203
Max Torque (Stock) - 169.38 (197.50) / 3883

its quite aggresive at 3500-4000 rpm so much so that, foot down
in 1st gear up to 4000rpm, change to 2nd foot down again, the traction control
kicks in. I dont always drive aggressive, but not sure this should happen?
Thoughts appreciated.

u will get more power with all the leaks sorted and it should correct ur curve as boost will be ******* out everywhere

4k in first is quite high in the rpm so its normal mate. just means the boost is coming on. just have to change ur driving style a bit

these are my old results

Pretty similar results to yours

Power 211 atw (247)
Torque 224 (247)

Although the delivery is different, I was still at c. 200 horse power at 6700 rpm

Cheers Dane, are you on 278 through stage 1?

I presume these results for an s3 I thought they where around 200 standard? do they run a ko4?

k04 mate

210 or 225 as standard. believe its the BAM engine code for 225. May be others however.

^^^^ What he said.... mines a 225 K04 BAM, but i believe there were 221.

Essentially yes, have a quick read of this:
http://www.audi-sport.net/vb/a3-s3-forum-8l-chassis/109356-3inch-tip-tests-danes-s3-today.html

My car at that time just had a stage 1 map and rods with no other supporting engine mods. With the Badger 5 3 inch TIP just bolted on the power jumped to 270 from 251 and then with a tweaked Badger 5 map we got to 278 with a nice big torque plateau.

Thats insane, Mine already had the B5 tip fitted and the Jetex Filter, So may have been even lower without it.
Do you think the figures i have is average?

The results may very well have been lower however different cars have shown different gains.

247 bhp and 248ftlbs is about average for a stage 1 map yes, but with any luck sorting out your problems should help bring the figures up.

Having said that its not all about peak figures, the delivery is important as well, my max torque figure dropped a little but it is delivered constantly for around 3000 revs.

Kool, will work on the leaks, and hopefully get it tested on a dyno locally again.
