Just getting some quotes on my 210AMK S3, very suprised at the price!

Was paying £500ish Fully comp last year on a 1.8t A3 mods declared, now loking at circa 1k for the S3!?

To compare, I am 23, 4/NCB Good postcode I would say, No points, full time (in motor trade though!!) etc.

Any pointers?

Rich

22 with 3/NCB but driving for 5 with no accidents. I pay £670 fully comp on my S3.

Driveway/street is cheaper than garage :)

25 3years ncb fully comp no points been driving about 7 years with no claims £1500

Am i doing something wrong in life.
Im 30 with full NCB and yet im paying around £700 on the s3

Im with More Than - thats probably my problem lol

I'm 23, 2 yrs no claims, driving for 3. Fully comp £1037.13p
Got it last week. With admiral.

Some tips based on my hunt last week:
Put mum and dad on, or someone older and more experienced
If you have a job such as mechanic (my dad is) try changing it to auto engineer or similar, it can have an effect.
Confused.com was cheapest comparison site for me.
Mileage is a big player in premium cost! I'm making it tight this year, aiming to commute by bike in summer.

I am 33, 9 years ncb five an s3 & declared my remap, shocks, brakes, induction and nos kit
I pay 735 Adrian flux

Post code is a huge factor guys bad area = higher premiums - FACT!

I pay around £560, 34 with 15yrs NCB, all mods declared, and 6 points on my licence. The previous year, I was paying £470 for the same cover, so it's definitely gone up.

With direct line: 225 s3: 22yrs old, 5yr no claims £480 fully comp. Live in a village where the largest crime is a dropped crisp packet so it must make a difference.

i am 28, with admiral and have a couple of crunches from a previous car......560 fully comp this yr.

just did a multicar quote now and it came down to 433......(gf has a honda civic 56plate).......hers came down from 900 to 600....... - (but i didnt have to declare my crunches as they were older than 3 yrs)

if you can well worth having a partner on the policy or a multicar policy! massive savings to be had.

Looking at you others in here who are around my age you can tell the difference in prices! I live in a ****** postcode area which would explain why mine is so much more than yours!

im 22, 3 years ncb, driving for 5 years and im paying £543 on my apy s3 and thats with adimiral, as previously mentioned, it makes a difference saying your car is parked on the street/drive

20, 3 years no claims, declared mods (in sig) on driveway for £900 :) looks like i'm getting quite a good deal considering i live in a busy town at home and in a city during term time (student). Just for info declaring my modifications saved me £82 on the quote !!!

£340 on an S3 aged 37 with full NCB, no points, all mods declared, parked on the drive, no business use. That's with Admiral on a multi-car policy.

I was expecting a big increase this year (mine is renewed early April) after everything I'd seen in the press about increased premiums, however mine only went up about 5%.

22 female 3yrs NCB 4yrs driving 1 none fault claim (bus hit me still bumped premium by £60) 3 points SP30 ..... £581 Fully comp for year and £468 for 08 player 310bhp edition 30 ;) I'm happy with that ;)

I'm curious as to how you got insured with Admiral with a modified car, as they wouldn't touch my S3 the moment I said car is remapped! though that was 2 years ago, maybe they have changed their policy?

22 -3 years NCB - driving for 4 years Admiral £620 on 2002 S3

23 5 years NCB, driving for 7. I have 3 points and got mine for £620 fully comp with Admiral on a multi car policy

Mine was at £860 with admiral, 28 7 yr NCB, put on my remap and its up at £1004.
Stupid thing is, 0-10% power increase is £7, 11-25% is £144..... Im at 11% at the moment, but have a mind to say im at 10% for the saving.

Check your postcode here: Post Code ratings for Car Insurance
Mine is high because i live in an F rated (high risk) postcode.

26 Male, Audi S3 2001, Post Code TR12 (Rated A, i.e. best), paying a little over a grand with 4 yr NCB driving for 7 Yrs with Direct Line.

look at every ones mega cheap insurance :D

im 20 drive a a3 T sport not an s3 and it costs me £2111 a year fully comp three years driving and two years no claims this is with bell and it was the cheapest quote so i took it last year.
but on the plus side it looks like my renewal is going to be near a grand cheaper :D

I was £420 for 24, 2 years NCB, garaged, <8000k miles a year, AB24 postcode (A rated). Was £680 last year, maybe went down because I'm 25 this weekend and just renewed in March.

Went back up to £600 yesterday when my new car arrived though, so didn't really notice the drop.

Im 21 and pay 780 on the s3 with 4 yrs ncb. How do you find out the ratings for your postcode? i would of thought garaged would be cheaper than on the street??

Who you with now as i'm 33 and was with elephant also and was paying 600 with 2 others able to drive my S3

Andrew im just about to sort insurance now as it ran out 2 month ago.. No doubt it will go up due to mods

2002 S3

5 years no claims
ok postcode

£550 fully comp on the S3
£750 fully comp on the 135i

Both the above with elephant, although Greenlight offered me £498 fully comp on the S3 but I couldn't use my NCB because it's already in use on the BMW :(

Going to speak to Admiral and see what the score is with me getting a multi car policy, should work out a fair bit cheaper?...
