hey all as some of you know on the weekend i repainted my wheels on my car and want to protect them properly can anyone recomend a really good quality wheel sealant/wax i usually just use some liquid car wax but want to use some proper wheel wax now as the paint is fresh and want to preserve the finish once they are all compounded and looking awesome
cheers
fran

Fran treat yourself to some Gtechniq C5 , the stuff is expensive but one hit with this stuff and the wheels are sealed for almost year, i'm holding the mine back ready for the wheel's for Project Polo.. Poorboys is also good and half the price of C5..

cheers col will look into getting some of that gtechniq stuff defo worth it in my opinion bud

Good idea Darren as the bottle i have here in front of me is only the size as one of my wifes nailpolish bottle's, but is more than enough to do all 4 wheels.

I can speak to Tim @ CYC Towers to see what sort of deal he can give us.

that looks amazing stuff col i just viewed a vid on c1 on a hood of a car same sort of results really good water beading

A Sealants acts like a wax but will/can last longer. We use paint sealants more so during the winter months.

here's a picy of what they look like now anyway

Oooooo, what colour is that? Im re-doing mine again soon, they are currently anthracite, not sure I want them black though but I love that flake colour in yours.

hi mate its a mix of two colours sprayed at the same time basicly one over the other while still wet so they blend into each other , the colours i used were honda new deep bronze and ford panther black to give them a bronze/redish/greeny tint to the paint , glad you like it :)

Cheers, might have to stick with anthracite then and go with a little twist like that or something.

i only changed the colour of mine because i was bored of the same colour and they had been sprayed like that for well over a year and a half so wanted a change lol , mine were originally anthracite , add a little of your own touch to them thats what i did and im over the moon with my choice of colours

i was also thinking of respraying my mirrors and my front audi rings in the same colour as my wheels what do you guys think of that they are satin black now with clear coat
