Very annoyed. Help please - little scrape on bonnet!!!!!!

I've had the car for 3 days lol. Just my luck - had the car parked in the drive way, came past with my bike looking at what I was doing probably too much incase I touched the car and I did it, scraped the bonnet. Pictures are below, you can feel the scrape with you're finger. The scrape looks a lot bigger in the pictures due to it being really upclose to give you guys a proper look at it but in comparison to the headlight in the photo, it's not HUGE. But I need it gone or kind of taken care off, what can I do? Or how much will it cost me?

You could remove/buff them out by hand as long as they are not down to the primer (if you take your time). Clean the bonnet as best you can, then if you don't have menz or 3m polish you could use auto glym SRP (at a push). Using a Microfiber pad and a small amount of autoglym try to polish to scuff's out along with the whole bonnet, autoglym SRP has filling properties so will help mask those scuffs.

The primer is white and if you fingernail can catch on the scuff it will not be a scuff it will be a scratch, but looking at the pic's they are just scuffs.

I just ran my fingernail across it and I can feel it go in a tiny little bit, it doesn't catch so to speak but it could do if i was to dig my nail into it lol. worst case scenario, its down to the primer, what can i do to fix it? i really want to get rid.

I will never advise using T-cut. Try auto glym super resin polish first . You can buy Menz or 3M from this company.Clean Your Car - car care products UK Do You have a DA/Rotary polisher.

Really you need to machine polish it IMO.

Give it a good polish by hand but I just cant see Super Resin Polish sorting that out. You could try wet sanding but be VERY careful...follow up with a good polish.

AG SRP will not remove the scuff but it will help mask the scuff due to the micro fillers, N4THW may not have products listed to remove the scuff. I would machine polish out the scuff (if safe to do so) then add a glaze like Blackhole and seal with Blacklight, which again will help mask/fill any remanding defects.

For me, if you can feel it trying to remove it completely could be pretty tricky and maybe a little dangerous. My first steps would be to clean out the scratch using polishes by hand. At the minute you will have rough edges to the scratch which will catch the light making it more visible and hopefully some rubbish off your bike in the scratch, worse case is you are looking at primer. By cleaning out the scratch you should smooth the rough edges and hopefully you will see car colour again making it a LOT less visible.

I was just reading this and you say don't use T-Cut? why is this?

I have a black A3 with simalar scuffs on mine and was going to use the Black T-Cut. The last owner was a lady... there is scratches near the door handle and the petrol flap and random scratches here and there.

If your finger nail is catching the scratch hand polishing will not sort it out, more times than not wetsanding is needed to lower the level of the scratch before you get anywhere near scratch elimination.

speaking from experience yesterday, t-cut is too abrasive, and too hard to work with to get an even finish across a whole panel, whilst it may remove some scuffs and fill a tiny bit, it leaves too many swirls/trails no matter how light you go, even applying with a micro fiber cloth.

i used it a tiny bit, to no effect! i then went over the area/scratch i did with autoglym super resin polish, and it improved it so so much, i know its not the best product in the world, but i used it sparingly and lighty, with simple straight movements and i finished the rest of the panel with it too and you cannot tell anymore.

on another note which might help the original post, what would you more experienced guys suggest or advise about touch up paints and touching up scratches????
i tried this. applied the paint along the scratch as evenly as possible, left to dry in the sun, and made sure the scratch was filled. i then went over with SRP lightly by hand and removed paint surrounding the scratch, leaving the scratch slightly filled with the touch up i applied. it looks a hell of a lot better i can tell you. am i doing it right? would it be worthwhile the original post trying this?

this seems like too much for me, you can rarely notice it unless you stare like i am. I'ma use the autoglym super resin polish and then if that doesn't work, leave it.

I have always used T-cut on all my cars in the past with great results, a mazda I had was so faded from the sun it was unreal but when I T-cutted it it was nice and shiny like new again and the colour was fully restored.

Yes it can be hard work but it's always worked wonders for me. Is it because it's an Audi T-cut is frowned upon and not worthy hehe.

I'll try ASR polish on mine then go over it with Mcguires polish after, hopefully the scuffs/scratches on mine will be less visable.
