ipod connectivity

hi all i have an audi symphony 2 i beleive with the 6 disk chamber double din with the casette player aswell...
im wanting to play songs from my ipod through the stereo but the way im doing it at the moment isnt upto standard im using one of the those casette adaptor things but getting quite a lot of interferance.
i also have a nokia bluetooth handsfree kit so im not wanting to go down that way of connecting.

is there some kind of interface or something that you guys have used heard of!?

regards chris

You can fit either the Audi iPod adapter or a similar thing from Dension - they connect to the external CD changer port on your Symphony II.

Trouble is the iPod is "reduced" to 6 virtual CDs (CD7 to CD12) and you won't get track or album information on the Symphony screen. However, if you get the correct Dension it can display track info on the DIS.

i would like somethink were i can play my music from my iphone as well as use as a hands free kit
DOES ANY ONE KNOW OF ANY WHAT WILL DO THIS ( AS WELL AS HAVE THE DISPLAY ON THE CLOCKS ) ?

FISCON Bluetooth Handsfree solution for after market phone prep with music streaming
Information on A2DP:
A2DP is a producer overlapping technique which allows to send stereo audio signals via Bluetooth to a playback device. Frequently the feature works together with AVRCP to remote control the player. In practice, this means that MP3 files which are stored on a cellphone can be streamed via Bluetooth to the sound system of the vehicle. The control of the MP3 player integrated in the cellphone takes place with the buttons of the vehicle. Furthermore it is possible to play commands of a phone integrated navigation system on the car soundsystem.
It is required that the cellphone supports A2DP for this function to be used.

use the a2dp streaming although not the best quality and unsure if id tags are shown and you will need to contact fiscon to confirm if you use handsfree profile whilst streaming music at the same time

best advise is fit the dension 100 kit purchase a ipod or use the usb port and leave the media player connected whilst using your phone for its intended purpose

if you have oem prep and wish to kit the fiscon kit then you will need to remove it and fit this kit but as mentioned the quality of the sound isnt that good in my experience
