A bizaar one this, but my S3 has been living in my garage for around 8 months now, and it was a couple of months before that, that I washed it last... my bad I know, but it was around about the time the volcanic ash was hovering above us, and the car has got a layer of the stuff on it.

Any precautions I need to take before I go for it with my two bucket method, or is it going to micro scratch the paint surface? the paint is in ok nick, not perfect, but I'd still like to take some care cleaning it.

All tips appreciated.

If funds permit get yourself a foam lance and a decent pre wash:thumbsup:

...then 2BM it!

snow foam it , it removes or loosens most things on the surface to make it safer to wash with the 2bm

OK, you guys are talking me into buying one of these snow foam things, I guess I might have to give it a try. lol

My main concern was whether the volcanic ash/dust would have cured or something on my paintwork, but I was going to try and blast most of it off with a jet wash first! so this foam lance might just do the trick.

I'd leave the volcanic dust right where it is. It will serve as a protective layer against the radioactive iodine.
