My 2003 A4 tdi 130 is due a service and I'm toying with the idea of paying a bit more for a K&N panel filter instead of a standard one. Anyone bothered with them, and is it really going to be worth the extra? My idea was that it doesn't cost a fortune, lasts the lifetime of the car, and helps it to breathe slightly more easily....
Ideas? Cheers! :)

I have one fitted - the old one was filthy so I guess any new filter was going to be an improvement!

Have read loads of reviews testing one against the other and the K&N always seems to do well

Personally, I'd go for a non oiled panel filter with the audi maf being so brittle.

Blackquat, by non oiled panel filter, I assume you mean something like the k&n I mentioned in my first post? Whats this about the maf being fragile?
