Finally got round to affording a new well 2nd hand low mileage gearbox for my S3.

Now as it's a 2000 and has done about 120k ive been told i should also fit the following

Clutch kit
Dual Mass flywheel

I guess the clutch is an obvious one, is the dual mass a necessity, anything else i should consider, CV boots or mounts of sorts or may have to pay for when having it swapped out.

thanks.

cv joints can be inspected while the jobs being done but its not really worth just changing them while the gearbox is out because theyr easy enough to get to anyway, just what you've stated really, its deffo worth getting the clutch done, flywheel can be inspected and replaced if needed

Thanks for posts, so to summarise

Clutch kit - replace
Dual Mass flywheel - inspection.
Clutch slave cylinder - replace

So i should just go ahead and order clutch kit and slave cylindert as the dual mass flywheel may be ok??
