S6 with 5.2l V10 - known common issues?

Hi, I am toying with idea to upgrade and get a S6 avant...what are common areas to look out for when inspecting the car? How reliable is the V10, and if somethiung goes what is it, how expensive to fix?

Looking at 2006/2007 approx 50-60k miles...

I have a 2007 car with 83,000 miles on - apart from servicing and a couple minor warranty jobs (new shock absorber and a button) it has not missed a beat. Still drives like a 20,000 mile car.

Ive had a S6 since Nov last year real good solid car , ive had a miltek fitted , and a full service, and lots of petrol, but its worth it.

Thanks - is it true that 1 new tyre (Michelin/Pirelli or Conti) is about 280 ??

yes ive 19" conti,s on mine £1000 fitted for 4.
