Rubbing sound

When I am driving less than 20 mph and either lift my foot off the accelerator completely or push the clutch in im getting a rubbing sound from the engine I think. It sounds as if a wheel or something is catching a piece of plastic that sort of sound and it gradually slows down until I come to a stop, any ideas?

If it slows as the car slows I would start by looking at the wheels, brake discs/pads, and drive shafts. See if you can make the rubbing sound just by rocking the car back and forth with the hand brake off then get a mate to see if he can pin point where the noise is coming from. Try not to run your mate over though

Brake disc guard could be fouling the disc...
