hi everyone this is my first post and I surposed this has already been asked on here,
has anyone tried to put the new style wiperblades on there A4 b6 do you have to change the arms I'm thinking ye do ? do B7 ones fit ? cheers baz

hi baz and :sign_welcome: you can put them on yes you do need the arms as well im not sure 100% but i think the b7 arms will go on but some one will comferm that on here im sure

B7 Aero arms and blades will fit straight on. I can dig out the part number if you like, or a quick Google should reveal it.

Another newb over here.

Are the B7 wiper arms of better quality finish?
I ask because the paint/lacquer on my wiper arms has peeled/flaked off revealing the metal underneath. I've already attempted a repair, but this hasn't really worked and looks pretty poor.

If the B7 arms are of better quality, then I'll go for them rather than a straight replacement.
Any part numbers would be welcome, cheers.

B6 wiper arms are prone to corrosion and the paint peeling, I resprayed mine to good effect and know several other's have. I don't know if the Aero arms are coated differently, but the paint seems much more robust.

Part numbers for Aero arms are:

8E2955408C - OS WIPER ARM
8E2955407C - NS WIPER ARM
4B2955425C - AERO BLADES.

All priced last week from tps just about £100 with vat

Yep deffo left hand drive, look at the shape of the arms:

OK... so if I'm right in saying TPS are Trade Parts Specialist, how the hell do you order from them? They don't seem to have an online shop.

They can be a bit funny about selling to retail customers, I always ring them first and order the parts. Very rarely do they ask who I am, just requesting payment if it's a non-stock item, then when I turn up to collect they've no choice but to let me in.

If they get funny on the phone just do some creative thinking, they won't turn business away I'm sure.

Yeah, that's what I thought... OK, cheers for the info.
