Does anyone know where i can get hold of the service kits for the amd diverter valve?

I phoned up amd and they said they have been discontinued and they wouldn't be stocking the service kits anymore.

If not does anyone know the sizes of the o-rings, springs....etc used in them?

Thanks guys ;)

I just took mine apart and cleaned then regreased everything, seems to be fine, but then mine is low mileage. You could try calling APS to see if they stock the servicing kits, Ed is very helpful.

Thanks for the quick reply mate ;)

Ill give aps a call tomorrow and see what they say.

Just out of interest, How do you rate the amd diverter valve?

Also what make grease did you use as i can find mobil 1 anywhere.....lol

Hi if this is the Viper DV. It was made by Turbo Dynamics. Give Pete a call and see if he still has any bits left over. If not the parts should be available from an industrial bolt and bearing type company.

Thanks mate ill give them both a call tomorrow. ;)

I'm not sure if its the viper one or not, how would i know (don't say it says VIPER in big writing.....lol)?

Well hate to upset you but yes we had Viper on one side and TD on the other... :) is it black or silver ? or did you get one of the hand full of blue red or gold :)

Nope they were fine. The biggest problem was the cost of making them... They didn't have many problems but unlike Forge etc we didn't make them in house so the cost was high. It was design at the time to get round many of the problems the other DVs on the market had. If you want to know how it compared to the other DV's on the market I think Wak from Vagcheck did a whole load of tests. You might find his old Wak mod site somewhere out there.

Good luck with the hunt. If you have no luck PM me :)

ok thanks mate ;)

Just found the wak test.

But he was testing the amd viper. Do you know what the difference is/was between the one I've got and the viper?

I just used a spray on high temp grease, can't remember the name, seems to work fine on my car, it's not exactly a complex part in the first place. I got mine as part of a groupbuy whilst attending an AmD rolling road session back in the day.

I've given both turbo dynamics and Ed a call and both say I've got no chance....lol

So i think i should buy a newer model valve.

If anyone knows of or is selling a really cheap aftermarket DV, can you please send me a pm.

Thanks for all the help guys ;)

That's annoying, I guess I better service mine regularly just to keep it in good nick.
