Vinyl Wing Mirror Wrapping

Hi guys and gals new car arrived at dealers friday and im having real problems finding a company localy that will vinyl wrap my wing mirror in gloss black, anybody know anywhere in or around bury st edmunds that can do this ?

will post pics of the car later going to have a look after work tonight

a lot of ppl have been buying carbon effect vinyl off eBay and doing it themselves. might be worth giving that a go?

yer i am going to do the interior inlays myself as the price on getting thing wrapped is stupid but the mirros and a bit beyond my talent

just try and get a cheap set of mirrors off the bay or breakers and buy a bigger sheet of wrap and try it yourself... keep your S3's mint... thats what im going to do

i might be able to sell you a set of cheap mirror caps. i bought some MY09 wing mirrors to fit onto my 8P2, and P5SND had a set of wing mirrors in the right colour. mine aren't in great shape but would be perfect for wrapping, so if i buy his then i have a set of caps spare if that makes sense.

have fun trying to wrap them it is near on impossible i have had a company try to wrap mine the mirror covers are just to curvy
the problem is where the mirror meets the car the shape means you are left with a lot of excess wrap that needs slicing to fit which looks poo!

100% agree wit this it makes sense prob alot easyer to do i tryed to do my mirrors in carbon vinyl and gave up after the 3rd attempt and sprayed mine black

yer i currently have two S3's at the moment lucky me
ibis white one has caused me nothing but problems audi agreed to give to a straight swap like for like with a few extra goodies for good measure
two weeks friday once private plate and few other bits sorted il be changing the keys with them
i was going to go white again but always wanted a orange car so bit the bullet and had solar orange so pleased i did now

ive been looking though ebay all the wing mirror cover caps housing what ever you want to call them only go from audi S3 8P 2003-2008 will these fit MY11 with folding heated mirrors ?

I don't think they will. I know MY10 is definitely different to MY11 cars so 08 mirrors won't fit a MY11

shame thats what i thought might have to go to audi direct to get a spare set for spraying then looked into it before and it was roughly £180 for a set

Ouch that's a steep cost. I thought abou getting mie wrapped then can always remove easy. Was quoted just under £70 for spoiler and mirrors in north london by a big company tha wrap. If they are professional surely they can do it easy.

Saw a Carrera gt wrapped the other week and those mirrors and whole body are really curvy!!!

same would prefer them wrapped as its so much less hasle and messing about but cant find anyone that does it localy might just have to give it a go myself
