I know this an old school mod and seems pretty easy but i'm stuck.

I'm reading the following guides.
VW AUDI Forum - VWAF
B5 Passat TDI - Retrofitting Cruise Control
It might not help that they are for passets but I can't find any thing usefull for A4 B5 TDI,
Most has dead links or sends you to the passat posts.

I got the car in bits, looking for plugs and cables.

I found the ones that the 2nd link is talking about but the first one is very different.

I followed part of the way through the 2nd one. Found the plugs near the ECU.
I have my furtech (how ever its spelt) cable that has male pins and numbers at the bottom (4 out of 5 any way).

I thought i'll do a test fitting and theses pins are way to small for the smallest plug.
so i'm now i'm stuck again.

can any one offer any help, advice or workign links on doing this on a A4 B5?

I'm getting really annoyed with my self, I've had the cable and stalk for almost 10 months.

EDIT:=- the stalk cables are labelled 10, 9, 8, 7 and S5. if that means any thing to any one.

the first guide looks pretty similar to what i did on craigs S4...

Popped the ECU out and removed the connector housing that sits underneath, then removed the fuse box assembly inside the car and pulled the connector thing down inside the car to work on it. Added the wires into the white plug and off you go.

I think I done it.
I followed the instructions from the 2nd link.
After a couple of reads and colour matching I think I got it.

I'm off out in an hour to get VCDS on it and enable it and see what happens.

The car starts, drives and still works even when I'm pressing buttons. so that's a good sign so far.
see what happens when its enabled.

its easy now i know what i'm doing. lol

It did not help that all the cables was grey and had pins on the end that was too small for the plugs they was going in.
really confused me.

The B6 abd B7s seem so much easier.

its easy now i know what i'm doing. lol

Well done mate!
Although since you say it is easy you can help me out when I (inevitably) get stuck. I did it on my S3 so shouldn't be too different. Did you use the kufatec loom?
Looks like I may have plenty of time to do this too since I suspect I may be getting banned shortly for going slightly too fast...
Gutted.

Numpty on the speeding. lol
At least it gives you time to save some money up for the insurance, car mods and time to sort the car out.

Happy to help all ways.
