Hi all

Firstly was the early 2 piece grill 8P ever available as an Sline model and if so what exactly are the differences?

I've got a 2.0TDi sport and its got me thinking what would it take to make it an Sline, also does it state on the V5 Sline model?

Thanks

Mike

Theres not a lot of difference as until the single grill, s-line wasn't actually a trim level but rather an addition to the sport trim if you know what I mean? So just says sport on the V5

So really just badges etc

That's strange as my S Line is a 2006 (56 plate) which is definitely a single grill but says Sport on the V5.

badges, spoiler and wheels. that's pretty much it.

Black headlining, S line badged perforated leather steering wheel, S line door sills, S line specific suspension, Half leather trim as standard, so actually quite a bit!!

biggest thing for me is the half leather and black headlining. Makes the car feel much nicer and sportier inside than a "sport"

mines 2004 and a sport on the log book. S line package was an optional extra on Sport models

There is a bit of a changeover point in 2006 but its not really an issue!

I see so to make my 2004 an S line it would need to have:

Black headlining
half leather trim
S line steering wheel

Are these all options for an s line or actually are on all s line?

As for the suspension, wheels and door sills what is the actual differences?

Thanks for all the great help!

I've got full black leather with the black headlining and i think it looks pretty awsome

The S-Line is 10mm lower than the sport

S-line was two packages in 2004 body-kit and everything else.
So 18" RS6 wheels
Door sill plates
Half leather
Dark grey headlining
1inch lower suspension
Side badges
Perforated leather steering wheel
Then too that you can add if the car had the exterior kit as well
Front spoiler and rear roof spoiler.

The cars in 2004 were still listed as sports because the S-line was an accessory pack to the sport.

does anyone have a picture of the steering wheel from a 2004 model s-line?

I think the only difference was the perforations. they were not badged in 2004.

Smoothie if you typed your plate in on We Buy Any Car, would it come us as a sport?

Been doing these checks and the slines I can across all came up as sport.

Thanks

They are all badged unless you have the black and white leather trim option. Strange but true!

Mines not :)

Thanks for destroying my theory built on minutes worth of research! lol

I've seen a few now with the white trim and they never seem to have a badged wheel, they seem to have smooth leather and white stitch whether the car is an s line or not. Maybe its an older version of the Audi exclusive range perhaps.

Mine has the badge, badges make me feel special :)

Mine has a badge as well now because i have FBMFSW.....with an airbag that will not work :)

OK..i badged it up for you :)
