A while back I started a thread about an issue when trying to view my own profile. Think others have the same issue when trying too.

It used to redirect to someone else's account called Mr G not Mr.G like it should. Now it just says I don't have permission to view the page even though I'm logged in and it's my own profile I'm viewing.

Can't seem to find the initial thread so started a new one, can one of you sort out the issue please, I'd be very grateful!

Thanks

G

I will alert admin as you've been paired with the wrong profile somehow, must of been the change in software a while back.

OK, This looks at first glance like it's related to some of the search-engine optimisation which happens to help people find information on then site. I'll see if I can exclude member profiles from those processes tomorrow (although please excuse me if it gets to monday - work on the car planned for tomorrow too).

Will keep you posted...

Rob.

Same problem here guys, Adam. redirects to 'Adam' :'(

Presumably the . in your usernames are causing it...
Nail + Head.

The SEO software is parsing all punctuation in usernames to hyphens, as a reliable character to use in URLs. The only problem with that being:

Mr.A3, Mr-A3, Mr_A3 all parse as Mr-A3, so all three users have clicks to their profile directed to Mr-A3. We've been combatting other issues for the past day or two, but we're pretty much done now; working on an exclude for user profiles in the SEO software is next job...

All the best,

Rob.

Thanks for clearing that up for me. I'm happy to see that I'm not alone in this problem. I'm hoping you can resolve the problem for us all as it really is a pain then to find your old posts and threads, having to use the search engine and mess around sometime really is tedious.

Really appreciate the help though and understand you are a busy man. Looking forward to getting my features back.

Thanks again.

Sucks to be us lol.

Mr.G, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

^^ Moderators...

I still have the same problem. Can it be resolved please or is there no chance and I should make a new account??

I'm having the same problem if to click my profile or my content it comes up with Shane rather than Shane. must be an issue with the full stop not being recognised I'd imagine?
