Hi All.

Anyone know if these are a standard fitment and will git my 06 Sportback?
Already done a search and can't see any threads unfortunately.

Yes they will - I have just fitted some TT mk 2 air vents to my 05 A3. They are a great improvement on the originals.
 
Thanks for your quick reply... are the mk2 vent dials the same fitment as the mk1 TT?

They fit the dash the same but the backs of the mk1 TT vents are not long enough to reach the A3's pipework so you have to bodge it.

Go Mk2, they are direct fitment

Hi Lee, just found out they are Mark1, and I've just paid for them... doh.
What level of bodging is required?

And there are 4 of them, that's dearer than what I would of expected.

I fitted Audi TTS Air Vents a few months back to my A3 Sport. I got my 4 vents dead cheap off ebay.. only £60! They were easy to fit, literally a straight swap! I used the following guide:

Removing
– Turn ring 45° in clockwise direction.
– Use removal wedge or small flat screw driver to prise dash panel vent off dash panel.

– Pull vent out of dash panel by hand.

Installing
Installation is carried out in the reverse order, note the following:
– Turn ring 45° in clockwise direction.
When inserting dash panel vent in dash panel, make sure guide engages in recess.
– Push dash panel vent into dash panel as far as it will go.

OK, seem to be getting conflicting info regarding TT Mk1 Vents.
I personally prefer the look of these to the Mk2, but the TTS ones above also look nice.
So are the Mk1 a straight replacement or are they shorter then the A3 Vents and need modifing?

TT Mk1 Vents are definitely 100% shorter!!! TTS Air Vents are a straight swap!

the mk2 and the tts ones are the same ones as far as im aware , i tryed to fit some mk1's in mine a while ago they are shorter yes i only borrowed one out of my mates tt to see if they fit they are alot tighter going in than the originals coming out they take a fair bit of pushing to get them in
 
yeah all Mk2 TT vents are exactly the same
 
Thanks guys for confirming... looks like I need to keep my eye's peeled for some Mk2 Vents.
