Uprated SMIC's?

Do they exist for S3's? Would they offer improved cooling if they did?

I noticed Forge offer one for the 1.8T's running sinlge SMIC's and got thinking.....?

I asked a while ago, there was one expensive solution for the TT in the US but that's all that came up Iirc

Hmmm I wonder if it'd be feasible to get some fabricated if we could get hold of the dimensions of the OE coolers, or even the maximum size of the void they live in? Surely running some slightly larger core alloy coolers instead of the OE ones would help inlet temps.......

I'm sure it'll be less hassle and cheaper to go FMIC then to mess around with SMICs. I'm looking at doing what S3Dave has done and fitting a cheap FMIC in between the standard SMICs. I think I can do it for £150

I've sent a few PMs to him about it and he seems to think I can get away with fitting the following core in with some reducers:

FMIC FFRONT MOUNT TURBO INTERCOOLER TYPE H 550x225x64MM on eBay (end time 26-Mar-11 21:43:59 GMT)

Depending on Bills diagnostics of my car on Saturday this may be my next mod so I'll start another thread for it.
