That takes the ****!! Sorry to hear about it mate, hope you get it fixed ok and the frame isnt too hard to fix. Cant believe there are sumbags like that living amongst us, hope the mofos get caught and get what they deserve.

Sorry sight to see. Unfortunately you'll be finding bits of glass for months now

What happened to the VW? Just mindless damage?

Its amazing how far the glass travels. Found some in the passenger side door card cubby hole, and on the rear parcel shelf right up against the rear window!
There was a tiny piece of glass balancing on the bottom of the steering wheel too, which managed to draw blood when I held that part of the steering wheel during driving.

it is the dam stuff gets everywhere , its really annoying when its in the door skin and rattles around till you get it out or go mad one of the two lol, ouch that is painfull mate ive had it a few times when detailing cars in work

Ah mate, that was killing me earlier! If I stand outside of the car and shut the door I can hear some of the glass pieces rattling about, which had me almost ripping my hair out. Luckily it can't be heard from the inside when driving.

Something I wasn't happy about when the guy was fixing my car............. There were loads of bits of glass jammed in the seat runners, so much so that the seat wouldn't slide forward/backwards when pulling the lever. Anyway, I planned to carefully remove all the pieces after the guy had replaced the window.
Not a chance!! The geezer just pulled up the lever under the chair, grabbed the seat and YYYYYAAANNKKKKEEEDDD it back and forth about TEN TIMES until all the glass that was stuck in the runners either disintegrated or lept out of the car!
I couldn't believe what my eyes were seeing. This guy actually thought it was fine and acceptable to smash my seat to within an inch of its life while I was standing there watching.
I was stunned and couldn't say a word.

Oh, and then he slammed my door seven million times to free up any other bits of glass that might have been jammed in the panel. :faint:
I can't even begin to describe the emotions you feel when another human being is standing there and crucifying your car before your very eyes.
WACK WACK WACK WACK!!! :sos:

What a **** ! - at least he could have waited 'til you went and made a cuppa for you both before he knocked seven bells out of it !!

You did make him a cuppa didn't you ??

car vacs are pretty good at picking up the bits not hidden in the door panels.

I was thinking that too. I was surprised that he thought it was perfectly acceptable to publicly abuse my car in such a way.

I only stretched to a glass of coke. Offered him a packet of Quavers too, but he wasn't interested.

as said above what a **** you should have done what vinny jones did in lock stock and slammed his head in the door to see if he liked it poor car

Dude, bad times!

I've had this happen to me in the past and it's frigging horrible. Glad you got it sorted quick, even if the guy doing the work was a douche bag.

Thanks fella.
To be fair to the guy that fixed my window, apart from half killing my seat and door, he was a sound guy, helpful and friendly.

A bit of advice to anyone like me who didn't consider it... don't even leave a sat nav cradle/phone cradle on display. If it wasn't for that I don't think they would've picked on my car.
