While I was putting the cylinder head back on recently I noticed the plastic pipe that runs from the T piece under the inlet manifold into the PCV was split at both ends. In a fit of haste I rushed off to Audi to order a new one where they kindly relieved me of £42.07! I needed the car back on the road asap though so had to grin and bear it.
Since then though I've noticed when the engine is hot the rubber pipe that comes out of the bottom (not the funny S/E shape one) is very soft and certainly not round. What are my options for replacing this and probably the E shape one at the same time. I see Forge do the one that runs to the cam cover but I can't see any that replace the one in question.
Also, along similar lines, there is a hose that runs laterally under the intake manifold that is a mixture of hard pipes and a soft 180 bend where the bracket for the intake manifold is. What is this pipe as it is split where it joins to another t piece on the left near the alternator. Some trusty gaffer tape and cable ties have sorted that for now but obviously I'm looking for a better long term solution.
