Ah well i get my car back yesterday and i noticed the drivers door lower trim was a bit off, It wasnt sitting well. I gave it a slight tug to undo it to see why it wouldnt sit flush.

When i tried clipping it back 2 of the little clips snapped away and wont hold near the end. The final end clip will also not hold but i dont know how that one comes undone.

Bit worried as a bit of plastic on the inside of the actual trim has snapped away so im guessing its another replacement. Does anyone have any part numbers or know if this should be a simple enough repair.

Really dont want to end up getting this sprayed and painted only just got my car back yesterday and really angry now :(

Heres a photo of the part im on about.

had that problem not long ago too,
its a cheap fix undo the screw behind the door( left side in the photo), and slide the trim off, what you will see is a little ovel block where the screw holds the trim to the door, the part number will be on that block, thats the part you need IF the clips are broken

Cheers dude! ah damnit i may have done damage to the end as it tugged off quite easy. Will be heading to audi tomorrow to get parts.

Need to get my self a copy of EKTA fairly sharpish lol.

I have a similar problem with my lower exterior door trim, its hanging off at the open end of the door, I have unscrewed the clip, which looks like someone has tried to bodge it back together before as its covered in glue.
I can't see a part number on it, does anyone know the part number for this clip?

the clips are part of the whole trim, the two end clips which have screws in them can be bought seperate but the 5 clips through the centre cannot be bought seperate.

My stuff turned up at home today finally so when i get back illpass you on the part numbers for it.

also what side is it as the trim and clips are not the same for the passenger/driver side

Mine is the drivers side lower trim, I think it is just the last end clip nearest the open end of the door which is broken, thanks.

i scraped my door on pavement and the bottom trim is all rough.. can i just order the new strip? and does it come primed or painted?? cheers

Yea you can order it dude, The strip comes as a whole part with clips you will just need 2 end clips but if your old ones are intact its fine.

It comes primed but needs to be painted.

Will get the price for it tonight and all the part numbers plus photos.

Just as a note bro, you have an S3 so your lower door thing will be different to our S Line ones, but ill have a look on the ekta thing for you.

Its pretty much the same fittings tho.
