I reckon there was a pile of crap car in the space to the left of the Q7 at some point and the Q7 wanted to get as far away from it as possible, so snuggled up to your car.

But to be honest, assuming the car to the right of your car was there before you, you've done almost the same to it as the Q7 has done to you!

I was a bit close but I all ways tend to park close to the left line.

How many of you agree that a lot of car parks now, even brand new ones, the distance between the white lines is too narrow to get a car into !

I was driving my parents to the midlands once, parked up in the services, Mum opened the rear door and it touched the car next to mine. The owner was straight over to inspect the damage, luckily there wasnt any and I also explained to him that I am v careful not to ding cars etc etc so it was cool. Think his was a BMW not too sure.

Agree with that.

At my local shopping centre (Merry Hill) they have parking police who go around in a golf cart. If you don't park in the marked bays they slap yo with a fine.

TBH I used to take up two spaces. I hate people's lack of respect for other peoples expensive property. Car park dents really p**s me off.....lol

Popped out to one of our local tesco's and stumbled across this... There were pleanty more aswell but didn't want to take to many pics, as I'd probably get caught and done for it....

I also agree with the comments about smaller spaces, especially when you have a 3 door car.

I do this all the time if I can't find an end space. I parked my fathers EOS like this, but not as far over, at the local carvery once to protect it and to help getting the kids in and out. Somebody was not best pleased so he let all his passengers out, then proceeded to park next to me to prove a point. The problem was he didn't have a sunroof, so gave up!

The best place to park is beside a curb, if you find 2 spaces next to one just park basically in the middle that way only one side is open to attack and even then its highly unlikely!

Unless they really just aren't confident in parking between the White lines and use your car to line up...lol

I rekon this is the reason, dont have to look at the white lines, just line it up against your car. Despite this, he still parked crocked...

hahaha thats it lad, on the other side of my car is the curb so i kept up tight to it thinkin that the car next to me will never hit my car with their door, obviously the micra was thinkin the same thing using my car as a curb! FML hahah

I always thought that the blue space between the disabled/mother and toddler bays was for wheel chairs/buggies ect but I've come to the conclusion that there for people who cant park and need the extra space.
