LOL. was driving to work this morning, and was queueing in traffic as usual. Something came on the local radio about someone having won the 7.1 million jackpot in Gloucestershire.

I do my lottery all by direct debit now as I am lazy, and so I check my emails just in case.

On my phone there is an email saying 'We have news about your ticket'....

Ummm, **** the bed didn't I ever get to that website fast. The missus is nagging in my ear telling me to log onto it faster... Can't remember my password either to log on... Starting to stress... and then....





After all this amazing excitement - I won £10.

Misses bought a couple of tickets months ago but she used our ages, birthdays, house numbers and so.
She told me and I had a little bit of a rant at her about why she should not do that.
We only do the lottory every now and then and I'd be ****** if those numbers came up one of the weeks we did not do it.
So far now on we only do lucky dips or scratch cards.

On a side note, I am VERY bored today.

So I have just downloaded an app from the Android Store that allows me to use the phone as an online webcam.

Amazing . It's got it's own webserver built in and then streams the video across HSPDA to the internet.... COOL!!!!!

Also found out that I will be getting the Android 2.3 Gingerbread update this month...

The app is called IP Webcam - simple to install, but VERY heavy on battery life on the Galaxy S.

Galaxy S here, rooted, running the very latest version of 2.2 Froyo (V2.2.1). Also on T Mobile.

It's just been announced today that it's being deployed for the Galaxy S at the end of the month. There is source code out there now for it, but I just can't bring myself to do it.... lol. I updated manually to Froyo before it came out, and it had all sorts of issues which I then had to fix.

I'm running just 2.2 Froyo on my Desire (work phone).

Not going to keep it rooted?

I've been thinking about rooting my Desire HD but can't see much point.
I rooted my hereo cause 1.5/1.6 was lacking alot of the things that 2.2 can do.
The only thing that 2.2 can't do that I would find usefull is the screen capture

any news on when the Desire HD is getting it?
I'll take a look in a bit.

There is a leaked ROM available online for the Desire HD - so it means it's in the pipeline. I wouldn't think it will be too long before it happens.

Looks like it will be available in the spring from what ive found,so not too long then.

If it helps battery life then that is a massive bonus!

They help the battery by making it more black and darker.

Can make it darker ourselves by just turning down the brightness!

We shall wait and see i suppose, im not unhappy at all with my phone as it is to be fair.

I do that and I still dont get a full day out of the battery .
I read that they will be turning the greys to black and adding more blacks. Something to do with blacks on the screen takes less engery to light or something.
