Black Edition

We thought Alcantara was very sweaty and smelt strange. Never had problems with other car seats (and we wash!) by the way. Never really looked that great either. We decided not to spent the extra £475 for something we had a less than good experience with.

The Bridgestones are OK I suppose.. but I reckon they are noiser than the Michelins we had on 2008 8P Quattrp TDi 170 and if reports are true are unlikely to last as long.

Not a bad tyre but not a great one either although 60 miles is hardly a fair test!!
 
No sleep tonight...tomorrow's the big day....Lost track of the time I've had to wait - I think I was still at school .
 
Anyone else reckon the Sat Nav voice is horrible... 'Prepare to arrive at a roundabout'..what's all that about???
 
Nice to see the cars finally coming through, a disappointing lack of photographs though, come on Pilot sort it out, thought you would have plenty up by now....?

I use Photobucket, may be a better option? Give it a try....

PS Car looks great and well worth the wait once you get it

Mrs is happy with car, not sure where TPMS switch is yet, old one had button on dash, maybe 2011 doesn't. Even had the Open Sky open.. great option.

Will try Photobucket but another busy week ahead.. hey ho.

It's in the DIS mate, play around and you'll find it easy. I questioned this when I picked mine up, I did panic for a while, wouldn't have excepted the car without it, didn't fancy waiting 4 months again

Yes, that one of the first things my partner said that the voice sounded funny compare with my last one.

Excuse my ignorance but what's the TPMS? Not driven an Audi for a couple of years since the S3 went, with my BE en route in June.

Tyre Pressure Monitoring System.. great option and can save you a fortune. Can you amend order if you haven't ordered it? My dealer reckons they will be standard or compulsory in the EU soon.
 
Ah, I see!!

Only wish I could, but would have to go through so any hoops to change the spec of the car now and I was within 50p of my monthly allowance with the spec I've ordered.

On the other hand as it's a company car, one simple call to Kwik Fit or drop in to their 'stores' and get a new tyre fitted where needed. One of the benefits of the CC scheme.

I can't wait for my car now - it's been delayed once already by a month, just don't want that to slip any further now!! I have ants in my pants for it. Be good to get back behind the wheel of an Audi vs the VW now.

Oh Lordy - I have just found this thread whilst looking for some info on the Audi A3 Sportback Black Edition. I have just this morning had approval to order a company car and I have chosen an A3 Sportback Black Edition in Ibis white with the Panaramic Sunroof, comfort pack, foldy mirrors, heated seats and a few other extras and of course it looks like I will have to wait 6 months for the car to arrive :-(

Pretty much what i ordered back in august... shouldve been due in Jan, now due any day.... :) had confirmation its onts way lastweek.. to be honest its gone quick... who am i kiddin, its been a ****** nightmare but hopefull worth the wait.

Our fleet lady told me it will be here in plenty of time for June when my Mazda 6 Sport goes back - I'll believe it when I see it :-(

Exactly what i ordered and have been driving since november, you wont be disappointed and well worth the wait.
 
audi upgrades
Can't wait - I've never had a new Audi before - my last one was an A4 B5 shape in SE trim with nothing but the basic spec. I went back through this thread and saw yours and wow! It was the black glass roof that sold me on the car - we have quite a few A3's here at work but they are all 1.6D SE and rather dull to look at which is why I never considered one previously.
 
The Sportback BE in Phantom with a Glass Open Sky Roof looks absolutely superb and far from dull. Only Question is would it look better with Alu Roof rails?? Not sure yet.
 
I like the look of the roof rails but I didn't like them in black so didn't go for them - I would never actually use them, I just kind of like them

We do use them a few times a year and loved the Alu ones on our last PB S Line. The BE only comes with Matt Black rails, will get used to it!

HELP....As you may know from reading my threads I've been having a few issues with my order. Do any of you have any information relating to Audi Mobilty Programme (especially if you've actually had courtesy cars) and/or any information relating to Audi VAT protection scheme for cars ordered early 2010 delivered in 2011. I contacted Audi UK today to get info on Order dates etc. for MY CAR and was told that all my information on their system had been blocked to me. Audi I am very disappointed.. Please PM any info. Cheers

I thought you had already got your car a couple of days ago? Are they not allowing any information to be given to you on your order?
 
Wow, 11 Months!! I thought 4-5 months was long enough!! Ah, so you want to know when the Audi dealership placed the order? Couldn't you ask for the dealership for a status sheet - Presuming this would give details on when the car was ordered etc?

I ordered early, as I was aware of this wait (thanks to this forum) so it was in time for March, but 11 months does seem quite excessive!

ALL info from Audi has been blocked including dealership/Audi UK/etc... The car is registered to me as the keeper. Can't say too much on open forum - if anyone wants info or can give info please PM me.

I wish my wait was 4-5 months, I've been waiting 5 months and have another 3 to go!
 
Done around 600 miles ... No complaints. One thing I have noticed is that other drivers seem more aggresive to me now I've got a black Audi with LED lights and black windows :) When I was in my Astra no one gave a damn.

Only 12 hours to go. Will post pictures of new BE tmw. Waited since Xmas for arrival.

Ditto - I've only had my BE a week and I've noticed a difference from when i had my renault, some idiot in a peugeot 407 was a right idiot the other morning up the A34. He was sat in the outside lane at about 55 with nothing on his inside, as i gradually drew up behind him doing 60 (not close to him, just cruising along nicely) he dabs the brakes twice and then slows right down in front of me to about 50 and does this for about a mile. Finally he pulls into the left lane so I overtake and move into the left lane myself, he then speeds up and tailgates me.. No idea what he was on but I wasn't too happy.

I had same on M40 - minding my own business just cruisin', pull out to overtake and, you guessed it, he speeds up, so I go a little faster, he speeds up - wot the hell - let em go !!
