3 Northwest 8L S3's logged - Who is closest to 300bhp??

Only thing I need is a new clutch! As Sandip and Lee experienced lastnight. Lol :S
Any suggestions on a clutch? Normal or uprated?
 
looking at the logs would i be correct in thinking shanejess's s3 is running the best??? as in requested specs?
think im going to replicate these loggs on my own s3 to see the differences

Get bills TIP on there, I'm running 217g/s with just Bills TIP, JC filter and a stage 1 map :)

Shanejesses looks to be an aggressive map, is asking for for peak boost near enough constantly, dancarpys IMO looks the better map though I stand to be corrected.
 
Everyone used to be banging on about getting a silicone TIP so I did. I go away from these boards for a few months, come back, and now I have to go and buy myself a Badger TIP!

Silicone Autobhan TIP anyone? :)

Spot on, Shanes seems to have power on tap constantly and does well in high gears
 
Don't know what mine is, it's not Revo or APR though. Had it checked to see if it Revo and that was a no and APR kept crashing everytime they tried to put a map on it

Shanes is APR STG2 and Dans is Revo STG1

Surely it'll be the JBS high flow manifold that's allowing it to make boost like that?

Also, silly question perhaps, but Sandip, surely you go full throttle sometimes? otherwise all the performance mods are pointless :p

Sorry Prawn missed your post, yeah of course i do the odd blast, mainly 1st/2nd off the light, but full throttle in high gears is rarely done

I think most of my mods won't get used to there full potential in my ownership, i suppose the only place to get the best out of my mods would be the track. And i doubt i'll track my car lol

I change bits that need changing and rather than getting standard i go for the better option, my mani was cracked and the JBS one popped up so i got it, i don't think i have that many mods lol
 
i really enjoyed last night, very interesting doing the logs, and at the end of it going for a spin in Lees RS4, stunning car sounds awesome with the miltek exhaust, and it was very kind of Lee to bring all the electronics. i was happy with the results im not going to do any more mods to the engine as i really like the power delivery. thanks to sandip and dan also, roll on the next one.

Sachs organic was one banded about ?? but yes flywheel and also master and slave cylinder

yeah i had a quick look at sachs aswell but ill have to save some more pennies up.
So i should get the master and slave changed aswell while everythings been done ?
my clutch pedal is squeaky at the moment and i remember sandip saying something about the slave or master last night ?

dan have you thought about having sports springs fitted pal, your car looks like a sports back parked next to mine. i believe the eiback springs are good, make sure you get the right ones though and not the Q7 ones.

yeah shane i already have the s3 EIBACH springs on...did you get your EIBACK from ebay ? they look alright i suppose. haha :D
i need that extra rubber taking off then we should be equal :|
 
I swapped my Eibach ones out, they didn't really seem to lower the car, very comfy and all but still a bit boaty. The apex springs on the car now have noticeably improved handling
 
What dampers have you got there Dane? Bilstien? And does it make a difference to how low the car is with new dampers? I'm still on standard!
Plus I've got a rubber washer on top of a rubber washer. Which doesn't help much when your trying to get low. Lol

not any time soon anyway ive just been and got them bbs from birmingham. :D
there not bad condition.hes had the fronts refurbed only so all the insides are a bit rough.overspray i think. duno why they diddnt cover it up but you cant see it that bad. its only when you feel the sandpaper texture.lol
if it starts bugging me then im just gunna get them refurbed fully i think.
next on the list is a new clutch.

With them being 8 wide I dunno what spacers to go for on the front? 10 or 15mm?

im loosing quite a bit of boost there.

yours is overboosting alottttt ! although it does make a nice straight line.lol

The only reason Sandips boost line is so straight is because that's all his map sensor can measure, it's maxes out at 2540mb, his boost is more than lightly exceeding that, you won't know how far though without a proper boost gauge, hence why I'd be concerned about the potential for damage to be done...
 
I've decided to get it mapped properly, no more logs/full throttle till then :(

Boost gauge is showing 25psi Leggy

Bill i'll get the 3"tip once i've had the map sorted, possibly by you??? I'm 99% sure that this turbo isn't a hybrid, i haven't paid hybrid money for it anyway lol
 
Didn't realise you had a boost gauge Sandip, if your seeing 25psi steady then that would equate to 1.7bar ish which is 2700mb if I'm correct, a lotta lotta boost :)

Yep, had one for a while now, before i had issues with the head/turbo it was boosting around 19psi/190g/s. Now it's boosting 25psi and holding 20psi until i let go of the pedal.

I got the car 5yrs ago and i'm assuming it must of had a stage 1 map by the previous owner, since then i've added new hardware so i think it requires a stage 2 map to suit??
