Seen a set of these ABT's in 18'' which i have always had a soft spot for. I am half looking for split rims and saw these for sale secondhand. I would do them with grey lips and black centres, probably crackle finish or something. I am not sure how my brakes will look though. i have Holstens on at the moment and they are a solid faced wheel that hides the brakes. I can t remember how they look behind there! Are they going to look really weedy behind these very open wheels? i dont want to upgrade the brakes. Any standard brake pics? Oh, and opinions on the wheels?

Sweet it's nice to be different, now everyone is looking to run BBS LM reps i might have to change mine, I'm hoping the paint job i'm having on them may make me love them again. You should go for them ABT's swEEt.

they are ok but i dont like the colour i think black or dark gray on the centers

Ive always liked ABTs just as well my A4 had a set on for ages ,
i would as already said have a dark gunmetal grey centre and leave the polished lip .

Nice wheels, what size are your front discs? The front brakes will look ok I'm sure, but the rears often let the side down a little.

As in my first post i was thinking grey lip with black centres maybe crackle finish? There is no chrome left on the outside of this car so wouldnt want polished lips anyway! Paul 20v, you got any pics on your A4??

Painting the lips Grey ??? Why the look of the dish will be lost also the wheel would look small.

James, I imagine they are standard brakes, I certainly havent, and wont, be changing them ( I think !!)

Probably 288mm then, I'm sure there's lots of people with 288's and open wheels who can post a pic up for you to see their size.

I agree. Are they 18's on the TT? They look smaller as the eye is drawn towards the rivet line as it is.

With the lip being in grey and I should point out it would be a light grey, possibly even atals grey same as the body and centres being black, the eyes should see the outer lip more and look ok for size.

it maybe just me but they look small
its because the spokes dont go to the rim edge the ABTs i had were non split rims but the spokes were longer which makes them look bigger ,
This is when i had 288 discs too .

VERY nice wheels, but its essential to have some big brakes behind them as it will just make small ones look daft
