Rear window washer question....

I chucked the car in for a major service today, and all went well....well, pretty much.

The only things that came up with probs were the brake fluid needing changing, and the rear wiper washer thing not working. The wiper works, just not the washing fluid thing.

Would this fail on an MOT because of the washer facility not working ?

I think personally I'd much prefer it if they just removed the whole damn wiper, and replaced it with a bung.

The rear washer & wiperblade are not part of an MOT. I'd unclip the cap off it & then pull of the jet. Now try the washer & see if it works as the nozzle can get blocked.

And if it doesn't, stop trying it because, if the pump is going and you have water in the bottle, then it's going somewhere, probably inside the boot lining !

Kriminal, there is no logic here to remove the rear wiper which is there to give you good visibility. Better to do as Khufu suggests and make the wiper functional again. Cheers mate.

Probably blocked due to poor quality washer fluid that has congealed over time. As said earlier unclip the nozzle jets and clean them out with a pin

And if it doesn't, stop trying it because, if the pump is going and you have water in the bottle, then it's going somewhere, probably inside the boot lining !

Anyone know the part number for the rear jet? and the price? mine was blocked, so i tried to unblock it with a pin and the pin snapped inside it. New one is needed.
