after my disaster with my rear bumper today as some of you may have read ..... he did a whicked job of my front bumper and grilles , Heres what it was like :puke:

Had all the grilles done in high gloss :p looks nice imo , what you lot rekon ?
 
looks much better mate, happy with it? I like the fogs in gloss.

Have you got any front on pics so we can see the grill and fogs?
 
ino everyone does s-line/s3 but i fancy a change and thought do it oem+ so just make all the original stuff look abit more classy , plus when its on its **** it will look very upmarket :p
 
i like the gloss, but i reckon you should have kept the numberplate surround in black as well. i wasn't a fan of the badgeless grille but i thought the single grille effect looked good.

oh well i'll reserve proper judgement until i see the car in person tomorrow. look forward to meeting you.
 
you to mate ! kind of feel that if my car is a split grill then leave it that way and make it look nice if that makes sense , i think painting in a double grille looks tacky imo
 
Split grill all the way mate ....miles better than the latest huge "aerodynamic as a brick" grill ;)
 
Sorry but i don't buy this latest is better, Its the Kings new clothes thing, Everyone thinks we have to have the latest thing....but why ? :) :) split grill. they got it right first time .:)
 
Yea sort of,,,thing is, no one likes the single massive " wish i had a snow plough" grill but because Audi say this is cool everyone thinks...gotta have one. The fact it looks crap doesn't come in to it :) Like Clarkson said...looks like ya car has an old mans beard stuck on it :lmfao:

I heard a rumour that what is now known as the "split" grille, actually started off life with an 'h' in place of the 'pl'.
Dunno, it's just what i've heard. :ninja:


They can look alright though (as per your photos). I used to have a spilt grille A3 but always preferred the single. I used to hate it when one pulled up next to me and it made mine look so dated.
Needless to say I traded it in for a single grille version, partly for the look and partly because I wanted a quicker car (which wasn't a 3.2).
